Around the NBA: Week 16 (2/3 - 2/9)
Re: Around the NBA: Week 16 (2/3 - 2/9)
Likely not a severe injury, but still, for years and years he was made of glass. Only the last 1 - 1.5 years or so has he been able to keep on the court more regularly. And now in his first game in DAL he's already out. Have fun, Mavs! At least he isn't fat, eh?
Re: Around the NBA: Week 16 (2/3 - 2/9)
I have him in one fantasy league. Basically after every game his status changes from healthy to GTD, and you wait till a couple of hours before the game to see if he goes back to healthy or gets downgraded to either O or Inj. Quite the rollercoaster experience.

Wow, no go on the Mark Williams trade
Re: Around the NBA: Week 16 (2/3 - 2/9)
Oh wow, I wonder what happened there. Maybe failed a physical?
Re: Around the NBA: Week 16 (2/3 - 2/9)
It wasn’t Williams. They said the Hornets failed to satisfy a condition of the trade. I have no idea what that could be.
According to Newsweek.
I’m finding a lot of references to a statement by the Lakers containing the phrase “due to failure to satisfy a condition of the trade,” but I can’t find the full statement.

Looks like Williams failed his physical.

Man, that’s too bad….. NOT

As a professed Laker hater, I’d actually preferred that he passed his physical and proceeded to play 30% of the games for the next three seasons.

haha so true.
Now, if you are LAL it sucks for this season but it has a very real chance to be a blessing in disguise for them long term. Should be able to fry an even bigger fish next summer as they will have the same assets (and one additional pick to involve in trades) plus expiring salary which was not available this deadline.

The Sixers have 2 contracts worse than Beal, but the world isn't ready for that discussion.
Love, Hurts.

We’d be better off with the injured player because then we’d get a better dr… Oh yeah, never mind.

I feel like it is super bad karma to be happy about another team's injury. But I must admit that it is funny seeing AD get hurt in his VERY FIRST game as a Mav. What a colossal butchery by the Mavs GM.
