Can't wait for something gross like KD for Paul George.

Just watch. They're going to half-ass it and be in the 10-12 range until Beal's contract runs out.

They’re going to half-ass it and not care what range they’re in. All you gotta do is mind meld with them and learn to share their apathy. The Bobster wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 5:34 pmJust watch. They're going to half-ass it and be in the 10-12 range until Beal's contract runs out.
Maybe it will work in the other direction, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

I think the thing that pisses me off more than anything with KD…. He’s going to be able to dictate again where he goes and limit our return. The major problem this time is we don’t have a new, overly ambitious owner ready to nuke his teams assist to get KD. Just preparing myself for the super underwhelming return. The only way to get out of this mess is to trade everyone but Beal, wait to he expires and rebuild.
Re: Suns News: Week 19 (2/24 - 3/2)
Curious how much longer till they just send KD home for the year. Don’t even want to see him on the court if he’s already planning an exit. Give the minutes to the Oso and Dunn and let them continue to develop.

The wolves have a new owner…sorta…we’ll see what the return is, but I doing think it will be nothingKryptonic wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 2:41 amI think the thing that pisses me off more than anything with KD…. Re: Suns News: Week 19 (2/24 - 3/2)
We're probably looking at one mediocre youngish player, a salary ballast player, and one 1st.
Re: Suns News: Week 19 (2/24 - 3/2)
Gambo mentioned Houston and sending back Jalen Green, Tari Eason, and Jabari Smith along with 2 picks (hopefully ours back). Not a bad haul, but not the greatest.
Re: Suns News: Week 19 (2/24 - 3/2)
I would gladly take that from Houston. Then I’d move Jalen Green elsewhere
Re: Suns News: Week 19 (2/24 - 3/2)
Not really interested in Green but might be worth it for Eason, Smith and picks. I think it'll come down to Houston or Dallas. KD likes Udoka and they have the roster where he can step right into the lineup.
Dallas has Kyrie and AD who he probably wants to team with and would have a legit 2-3 year window with him on the roster. Nico may be willing to give up a good package too because his job and rep might depend on it. He needs to win a title to justify the Luka trade. Even so, not sure a package around PJ and Lively is as attractive as Eason, Smith and picks?
If OKC comes up short in the playoffs, my first call would be to them to try and get Chet but I think that's unlikely.

I agree with all of that; I think HOU, DAL, OKC should be the three teams to pester about KD trades. I actually don't think HOU would give up as much as that for KD. I bet we get only one 1st and maybe not Eason, maybe somebody like Sheppard instead. That sounds like a shitty haul, and it is, but I think HOU actually wants Booker, not KD, and they aren't going to break the bank for a guy in his 19th season.ShelC wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 8:44 amNot really interested in Green but might be worth it for Eason, Smith and picks. That's why I think DAL may be a good choice. Just as you say, their GM is both stupid and desperate (to prove that his Luka / AD trade wasn't a disaster). We trade them KD for a few youngs and some of their future 1sts, then we wait for them to implode Suns-style so the picks are good.
OKC would be more about getting a great young asset like Chet. They also have a million picks, so they could toss us a few. The salary-matching is the hardest part here; they just don't have a lot of salary ballast. I guess they could give us a guy like Hartenstein, who makes $30m, but they seem to like him, so I dunno.
Re: Suns News: Week 19 (2/24 - 3/2)
I bet Ishbia won’t even care to get our own picks back because “we don’t plan on being in the lottery.” I bet he will still have that same disgustingly arrogant attitude even though we are missing our own lottery pick this year after he promised it would never happen.

We just know that we're going to end up with less than we started with before the KD trade.Kryptonic wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 2:41 amI think the thing that pisses me off more than anything with KD….
