Missed the comeback, but I’m just happy my $5 bet on Plumlee turned into $45.
What was the bet?

Ryan Dunn has more energy on the bench than the totality of the Suns starters.

10+ points. As soon as I saw it was at +900 odds I grabbed it, especially with him facing his former team. Just wish I had put $10 down lol.

OK, so, I just went back and re-watched the 2nd half after hearing what a great comeback it was. Man, that was a fun watch. I wish that team showed up every night for 4 quarters. Really exhilarating to see the Suns give a shit and play hard and make big shots and get big stops down the stretch. And I was pumping my fist watching Gillespie make HUGE plays in crunch time and then chest-bump Kevin freaking Durant afterward like, yeah, I'm the man. Amazing stuff.

I have to give Kevin Durant his props. I give the guy a ton of shit on here lately and am constantly talking about trading him. But he was awesome in this game, hitting tons of huge shots all through the comeback. And he was super into it, high-fiving and chest-bumping and congratulating teammates after big plays, talking and demonstrative on defense, playing hard. He was great and was exactly what we need as a team leader. Booker also played well in more of a point-Book-lite role but I just want to give KD his kudos since I have been so negative on him lately.

For me tho, it doesn't really change my view of KD. He's one of the best scorers ever and can come up big in big moments. But he needed Colin Gillespie to get him going. It was Gillespie who basically took over the game and allowed KD to be KD. KD can't do that on his own or lift up his teammates that way. He doesn't start games with that kind of fire and intensity, doesn't impose his will from tip-off. He kind of lets the game come to him, which is fine if there's someone else on the court to force the action around him. It was kind of the same thing we saw when Dunn was starting; Dunn brought that energy and intensity that KD was feeding off of. He needs those players in the lineup around him, even if they're "less talented". If Gillespie is the engine making it go and Dunn is the hustle defender, then Book and KD can be the assassins without worrying about the other stuff.

Great post, Shel. It also reminded me of how KD needed the crowd to step up in order for him to up his intensity. He was begging the crowd for it and complaining about booing. Folks aren't going to boo when you play like that, KD. That's on you.

If KD and the team played every quarter like that 4th quarter, we'd be a top 4 team. But we don't. It only makes it that much more frustrating when we see what they're capable of but aren't willing to put in the effort on a nightly basis or for 4 quarters.

Another piece of praise I want to give to KD: He is the first guy to run over and hype up a young fella or rookie who makes a big play. When Gillespie hit those huge dagger 3s down the stretch, KD ran right over and was screaming in his ear and chest bumping him and hyping him up. That must have been such a rush for a guy like Gillespie to have a top-10 scorer in NBA history so hyped and excited and congratulating you like that. Booker, for all his strengths, doesn't show that kind of camaraderie as often, he's more low-key and even-keel. I appreciate how KD has actively encouraged some of our young guys like Bol Bol, Eubanks, Dunn, Oso, and Gillespie among others.

No shortage of Gillespie fans I believe even prior to this game
I just liked his demeanor from first game time he got this season

What's even cooler about his performance is the fact that KD said CG was one of the more vocal players after the Wolves game. So to be an end of the bench guy, pissed and calling out the team's effort.....
Then actually get to play the next game and the coach plays you the whole 4th quarter and you have the game you did is quite impressive

Another not good game by Book tho
I was watching the end in the airport and went back to my seating when it got to up 3 with under 10secs left

I didn't even know he missed both. Geeez

If you’re in love you should spell his name correctly. Collin.

Whose line is it anyway? I didn't know they're still making shows! After a large gap in the mid-2000s, they started up again and have been making them ever since!

That show was pretty good when Drew Carey was the host.

The only think I don't like about the new episodes is when they have guest stars. Otherwise, Whose Line is pretty much the same.

I saw Colin and Brad Sherwood on tour years ago and they were great. Highly recommended!
