2025 NBA Playoffs
Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs
One of the more shocking things this NBA season is Ty Jerome turning himself into a decent basketball player. Kid could always pass, but he was slow of foot and his shot had not translated early. Great to see him continue to work with 4 teams in 5 years and really do something.
Go Suns!

Agreed; he has been great, and I would never have predicted it. Also hi carey, good to see ya! Hope all is well.
Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs
Jerome has become a Nash-lite late bloomer.

Maybe we bring him back like Nash

Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs
Well I’m not expecting Beal, Tyus, or Morris back. I’m 50/50 on Grayson. If those guys are all gone, our only guards are Gillespie and Booker. We will need more.
But it was also not really a serious suggestion.

Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs
I think Tyty can man one of those deep bench spots, he's got some juice.
Also, I'm mostly just over let's always bring back former Suns stuff, makes me wanna puke.
Love, Hurts.

First we’d have to get out of both aprons as the only way we are getting him would be via the MLE or sign and trade. So save money on a KD trade, waive and stretch Beal, then use either the Grayson contract or the MLE to sign him. But now you just wasted your best team building tool on a bench guard who is a poor defensive fit with your best player. You’ve also likely got a bunch of front court needs that you passed on. So I really don’t see how it makes any sense at all.
Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs
Haha, fair…I think at least in the case of Jerome it’s not about nostalgia for the player. He sucked when he was here…it’s simply because he’s good. He seems more like a luxury to me though. He’s an all offense, bench guard. We have more pressing needs and the steps involved to get him would be too much.

I’m 50/50 on O’Neale too, but he’s a touch bigger and can at least pass for a wing at times
Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs
I don't really see how we move Beal unless we somehow acquire picks and give them out with Beal to get him out of here. But that is a steep price. We could be giving up the haul from the KD deal to get off the Beal deal. That would be really depressing.
I just keep hoping Orlando gets swept and decides they need a scoring guard to help their offense.

Oh I’m not expecting a Beal trade at this point. I think we buy him out.
Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs
Rockets Warriors game 2 is on. Houston looks much better this time, with a big halftime lead behind Sengun and Eason.

You guys picked the wrong night to say you don't want Jalen Green.

Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs
Green was awesome last night with 38 points. Sengun had 17, most of them in the 1st half. Eason also had a nice game with 14, mostly in the 1st half as well. Green really took over in the 2nd half.
Curry had 20 but didn't get much help; the only other guys in double figures were bench players Post and Moody with 12 each. They didn't have much scoring help after they lost Butler to a hard fall on his tailbone in the 1st quarter and he didn't return. The team says he will get an MRI today.
If Butler is out a few games, Houston could really have a chance in this series. But I think if he is back for Game 3, GSW will win both at home and go up 3-1, making it super likely that they win it.

Probably. I don't really know his game. Looks like he may be a chucker and found a nut last night.

Re: 2025 NBA Playoffs
And I blame that Butler injury on Draymond Green. He shoved the Rocket player into Butler, undercutting him. Green is dangerous! He's also very sneaky about those extra kicks, hits, and pushes. I tell that to my Warrior fan buddy but he thinks it was just a normal, unlucky basketball play. Those Warrior-colored glasses have to be clouding his judgment.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 6:44 amGreen was awesome last night with 38 points. Sengun had 17, most of them in the 1st half.
