Toronto deal is better because of #9…but apparently suns want to be good. That’s why they want Rudy. He makes us good next year almost by himself.
????? Come on, Split. Be serious. Haha
You don’t think Rudy makes us better? I should qualify that by good I don’t mean a contender or anything. Also I disagree that we should even be worried about being good next year, I’d take whatever deal makes us better in the future. Toronto offering 9 has my attention.
Better? Yes. Good? Not really. Scoring outside of the Book is gonna be a real problem with the Twolves deal. Unless Dillingham has a breakout year. I kinda think he’s gonna be bust tbh. Our ceiling is probably a 8th seed at best. I think the Raps deal could potentially put us closer to the 6th seed only because we get 2 solid starters at a premium positions in PG and C with Quickley and Poeltl. Plus l like the prospects at 9 a lot more than at 17 haha.
Fun fact: Rudy Gobert averaged more rebounds just last season than any Suns player has since our inaugural season.

His offense isn’t great, but he’ll at least be like bringing back Tyson Chandler. Except his defense is better. And Justin Bieber probably won’t be getting baptized in his bath tub at 3 am.

The Suns need to get over next season; they've dug themselves that no single trade is going to undo it.

I knew this grit and grime garbage was going to be another hinderance in this team making good decisions. Get Ware because he is a talented, young big on a rookie deal; this "soft" foolishness is just silly.
Too soon to make the call on Ware, but when it comes to "soft", Andrew Wiggins is on that NBA Mt. Rushmore for his pay scale (right next to Brad Beal).

I think you're being quick to judge with the Blabby comparison based on this stated objective for constructing the roster. Let's at least see if they can properly evaluate talent with that preference.

I don't mind Gobert. He'd really help the Suns stay out of the lottery in the next couple of seasons as long as they build a balanced roster.

Still rather have Poeltl with Quickley or Barrett.

The cons outweigh the pros for me with Gobert now and the rest of the deal (that we know of) isn't nearly enticing enough to make anything happen. The fact that Gambo is pushing it scares me. I think the Suns have their minds made up it's their best offer.

If we actually want to win, I'm not sure we could do better than Gobert. He is still an excellent defensive center, and he would go a long way toward solving our rebounding problems by himself. Here are his stats from last season; 12.0 ppg on 67% shooting (!), with 10.9 reb and 1.4 blocks.

I don't want us to try to be good right now, but, if that is what we are determined to do, I think Gobert raises our floor MUCH more than guys like RJ Barrett or Quickley or Poetl.

He is 33 years old and there's no chance we're contending next year. What the fuck is the point? Is your goal not to win a championship? This does nothing in the short or long term to accomplish that goal.

I'll take the younger less proven players who may develop into a star over someone who we know doesn't raise the ceiling of the roster to the level needed to compete

I'm not advocating for the Minnesota trade, but I've honestly always been surprised why Gobert was not involved more offensively in the NBA. If you watch the French team, especially prior to Wemby's arrival, Gobert is much more aggressive offensively and he's not bad. And it's not like the French team is bad and has no other options. I genuinely believe an innovative coach could use Gobert better offensively.

Looks like Minnesota won't be happening now unless Durant changes his mind. I'm not unhappy about this in itself. It does reduce the Suns' leverage.

Houston just needs to give us Jabari/Green/10

Or SA needs to give us Vassell/Barnes/Sochan/14

At this point I might even give 29 to make that happen.

Fans already to give up on getting anything real in return before the FO does was not something I expected.

Agree. I like how the FO has been playing it so far.

I think you like the idea of him more than what he actually brings to the table. Having said that, I'll take him and Markkanen.

No. I like Jabari, would love the 10th pick but Green is too much of bullshit contract. They absolutely need to find another team for him OR give us our pick back for taking in his bs contract.
Also Jabari is in his last year of his deal, after paying him next year, we’re gonna be in the exact same spot with this second apron shit, so Green needs to go somewhere else or we need to be properly compensated for taking on his contract. Also the fit with Green is terrible.

This was always fine. Spurs stupid if they are gonna let Sochan get in between getting KD.

I’d rather just run it back with KD than to take a bs trade. Just get off 54 million completely or sign and trade him in the offseason then to take bottom of the barrel offers. Probably in the minority but just how I feel. Trade Grayson for size and run it back again. I’d much rather do that than to see Jalen Green here. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’m not saying that’s not a possibility but it’ll be further proof of the incompetence of this front office and owner. They should get dragged for saying yes to that deal and I’ll enjoy every minute of them getting dragged for it.

Nope, Gambo was wrong on that. Hopefully we are smart enough to hold out until Draft Day.
