I'm sure Beal's "peace out" doesn't boil Saucy's blood at all. ;)

Landale would’ve just been a contract, not someone we were acquiring for any basketball…though he would’ve allowed us to move Richards
If he allowed us to move Richards he would’ve costed more than Richards, right?
Yes, but much less than Brooks which is who he’s really replacing in this hypothetical
That’s true. I guess I like Brooks more than the average Suns fan so I wasn’t thinking about that.
I think Brooks will be helpful…but we were just talking about potentially different trades and if we could have gotten more future assets while reducing payroll in a KD trade…would’ve required either Brooks or Green not in the trade.

The main benefit to acquiring Kuminga would be getting to watch Saucy’s mental breakdown in real time.
Precious Achiuwa, Dalano Banton, Batum, Chris Boucher, Amir Coffey, Tre Jones, Laravia, Mamukelashvili, Tre Mann, De'Anthony Melton, Minott, Nance, Chris Paul, GP2, T. Prince, Reed, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Tate, Watford, Yabusele

Yeah. I agree with that and wish we got more future assets as well, but I’m of the general opinion that we painted ourselves into such a corner that the whole league smelled the stench of our desperation for at least a full season before we even realized something was off ourselves and therefore we had no chance to do any better (other than to get Whitmore for two seconds).

The problem was letting KD pick his spot. That screwed up any chance of a good haul.

The real problem was nobody was going to sign him where he wouldn't extend. That's how he controlled that.

And James jones was holding firm…Ishbia pushed it across the table and gave in…Brooklyn also had time..KD was under contract for 4 years…we couldn’t wait for someone to get desperate like we did.

I don't know why everybody is mad at Brad. All these sacrifices he made! He wasn't allowed to be himself. ;)

Bradley Beal’s agent: Guard got away from identity with Suns
https://arizonasports.com/nba/phoenix-s ... t/3590462/
Beal’s play (when healthy) also took a hit throughout his Phoenix tenure, a byproduct of not being able to be himself, according to his agent Mark Bartelstein.

“The big part of the problem is that Brad got away from his identity and who he is as a player,” Bartelstein told Mark Medina of Sportskeeda.com. “Brad made a lot of sacrifices in his individual game with all good intentions to help the team be successful. But it took him away from what he does best, which also led itself to the team not playing as well.

“He is always going to play the right way. He’s always going to be selfless,” he added. “But if you have Brad Beal on your team, you have to let him be Brad Beal. Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense and you’re not getting the best version of him.”

I would love to never hear or talk about Beal and KD ever again but I know that's not a possibility.

All Things KD and Beal thread? :P

Yeah, I wish we could wipe it from our collective memory banks starting with the trade for KD. Although that gap from the Finals team to this team would be puzzling. ;)

I'm just going to say that I don't really blame KD and/or Beal. The Suns made a gamble, and it just didn't work. I do think Beal tried to adapt; I don't think he dogged it while he was here. It even seemed that he kept trying to play while hurt, which only resulted in him reinjuring himself.

They're all deserving of blame. Beal didn't force his way here but he was certainly open to it and accepted it and all he did was live up to the rep he built in Washington. And KD is KD. He had a chance to change the narratives around his style of play and leadership and only reinforced those as well.

I'm out of the loop. What is the Gambo v Stein thing? Predicting the timing of the buyout? Stupid if so.

I agree with Kellan here that I'm so glad to be done with the emoji era of Suns basketball. Something KD and Beal embraced:
