I think Marko Milic jumped over a car in Europe?

OK, not sure how or why that popped into my head. Here are some details from his Wikipedia page of his time with the Suns:

Glouchkov knew very little English and was accompanied by Bozhidar Takev, a Bulgarian coach and trainer who translated for him. At the beginning of the season, Glouchkov impressed the Suns with his strong rebounding and became a regular member of the team's playing rotation; as the year went on, however, Glouchkov began gaining weight, and his productivity decreased. He ended the 1985-86 NBA season with averages of 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.[7]

As the season came to a close, Glouchkov began losing weight at a dramatic pace. When he reported to the Suns' 1986 summer league team, he weighed 25 pounds less than he had weighed when he first signed with the Suns.[5] After a poor performance in summer league competition, the Suns advised him to return to Europe.[8]

He was the first player from an Eastern bloc country to compete in the NBA. Glouchkov ended up having a 21 year playing career overseas and he is currently President of the Bulgarian Basketball Federation.

Nice! Cam Payne was a fave who wore #15. There were a few other guys who wore that number, including my all-time fave #15 Sun, Danny "D" Manning. And some big floppy Sideshow Bob guy.

He was pretty good but his brother was a significantly better player. Especially offensively.

I still wonder what it would've been like had we drafted Javale instead of Lopez. An athlete like that with Nash, rim running, shotblocking lob threat. He got a bad rap in Washington, could've possibly been different in Phoenix.

For me #14 will be the one and only Jeff Hornacek. Played for the Suns from 1986 - 92. The main piece we sent out in the Charles Barkley trade, which is absolutely wild if you think about it. He was a fun player for us for many years and one of my favorite Suns when I first became a fan.

Another really fun Suns #14 is my second pic, Gerald Green. His dunks and energy were absolutely insane. Really fun player who was with us from 2013 - 15.

A ton of other Suns wore #14, many for just a year or two: Keith Erickson, Chris Dudley, Dan Langhi, Antonio McDyess, Luis Scola, De'Anthony Melton, Landry Shamet, Drew Eubanks.

It will be an interesting part of the phxsuns.net documentary when it gets made. How everybody reacted to .net going down and how they coped without being able to talk about our fun season with their comrades. I'm telling you, it would be an interesting doc. All the ups and downs. The turnover over the years. Memorable posters who are no longer with us. The controversies. Compelling stuff. Charlie Smithy has a great mind for these kind of details over the years. I'm going to let him head it up. Get to writing, Charlie!

Barkley was traded to the Suns in exchange for Jeff Hornacek, Tim Perry and Andrew Lang.

That's an interesting question. For one, I think Philly wanted Hornacek more. He was having a crazy 1992 season, maybe his best as a pro. He averaged over 20ppg that year, a mark he never reached before or after. He was also named an All-Star that year. I don't know if Philly does the deal if you try to swap in Majerle, but I don't remember the details of the negotiation.

Majerle also had a very good 1991-92, averaging 17.2 ppg. But Majerle was coming off the bench, and would end up getting 6MotY votes. Horny shot the 3 much better that season, around 43% to 38%, while Majerle was a better defender.

IMO Majerle was a great third guy to go alongside the more offense-first KJ and Barkley. A 3-and-D SG/SF was exactly what I would want to put with those guys. But it is an interesting hypothetical.

I think we all know who gets the nod today at #13 ... Luc Longley! No, it's only the greatest Sun ever to lace them up: Steve Nash. It was just a pure joy to watch this man play every game. I miss those days deeply.
