Yes he's a rookie (Traore for Nets) but it's still cool to see our defense make someone so miserable
He just had a rough start to the quarter

I think there were our last two Guard signings
Goodwin and Butler with the discussion saying only one might be relevant (3rd string guard)

Well Goodwin easily leading that competition (if there was one)

Maluach is just having a really rough go of it. Airballed another 3, bad fouls, misses, etc.

I was hoping to see something promising from at least one rook/young player here in the 4th, and meh, I don't think I really got to see it. Maluach did a few things, but he mostly looks like what he is: a raw 19-year-old big man who has a lot to learn. Fleming didn't do much. Brea got some open shots but missed all of them; was really hoping to see him drain that 3 late to tie it, but it bounced out. The other random youngs like Butler and Duke Jr are meh. I guess the upshot is that Gillespie looks like a real NBA rotation PG so far this preseason. And, as others have said, Nick Richards has been generally great. I hope the Suns realize that they need to keep him this season.

I've kind of seen what I need to with the core group. We still have some upside if/when we're able to get Green and Williams back. Without those two we just don't have the firepower or depth at center. I like what I've seen overall tho, especially in terms of player/ball movement, defense and effort.

Overall, I really liked what I saw from the players who will play. Maluach will be up and down for at least two years. I am glad that they threw him into the fire early. It is clear that he will need more time.

Gillespie is the real deal as a NBA PG, Goodwin is a real disruptor and clutch player, Brooks is much better than advertised although he is more of a third option than a second option. Oso and Dunn look like real NBA contributors. Richards may be the best backup center in the league, he seems to thrive off guard penetration.

It is the first game I have seen since 2011. I am a happy man. I had to be told by my wife not to cheer too loudly because I was sitting in a Nets box. First world problems to say the least!

In all seriousness...the Suns are going to push 50 wins this year.

Why am I awake for this?
You tell us. I went to bed a couple hours before it started. Just finished watching my recording. DDJ with the huge rookie mistake after the big Butler tying shot. Suns regular rotation did their job but the rookies couldn't finish it. Brooklyn rookies got hot from three. Great trip overall though. Lots of goodwill with the Chinese.

Grayson to Brooks alley-oop was not something I expected to see
These guys have been hooking up. Both ways. (No comments from the peanut gallery. I'm talking to you Marty and WW.)

I'm so glad Collin was rewarded for his solid play with that guaranteed contract

The whole idolized Nash thing is a cool story also

Just continues to look the part
He's getting better and better too. He's added shooting off the dribble this season.

Overall, this team is going to be feisty, hard working, and offensively challenged. The team fell apart offensively when the bench was out there without Gillespie, the ball handling is a bit lacking although Oso definitely helps. The shooting is a bit weak but let's see if Green helps with the offensive lulls.

This is going to be a much better team than most people imagined, though.
I'm thinking so too. I put a Benjamin on the over for the Suns win total this season. I just need them to win 32 or more.
