Game Day (Preseason): Lakers (1-2) @ Suns (2-1), Tues 10/14/25

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: Mortgage Matchup Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: AZ Family 3TV, NBALP

The Suns last preseason game before the regular season. Luka making his preseason debut but I fully expect the Suns to field mostly their 2nd and 3rd stringers after the long flight home from China. Suns open the new season a little over a week later on Wednesday, October 22nd. (Have I mentioned I'll be there? :P )

This might be a schedule loss, which is funny for a preseason game. I hope the youngs get a ton of minutes, score be darned. Give me 30 minutes of Maluach and Fleming and Brea and Gillespie and NHD *, por favor.

* = not actually young, but new, so I want to see him

Yea I wouldn't expect to see the main guys in this one. Probably a heavy dose of Butler, Goodwin, Duke Jr, Brea, Fleming, Maluach. Maybe Dunn, Oso and Richards get in the first half. Would like to see Huntley out there and Livers probably gets some run.

Maluach makes DA look small. Had a real nice block on DA's dunk attempt but DA got the OR and laid it in.

Brea with #14 out there kinda looks like Shamet.

I am really really a fan of Brea. I hope he will succeed and be awesome for us. I really like his shooting.

This game has been surprisingly fun so far. Maluach, Fleming, Brea all contributing. Fast pace and high scoring.

Maluach’s game is very promising - love to see it! Still much prefer Goodwin to Butler. I’m not that confident in NHD -he’s definitely worth a roster spot to see what pans out but I can’t see it amounting to much (hope I’m wrong).

Not bad for having their top 10 players sitting it out.

Yeah I can't believe we maybe got our 4/5 from the one draft... encouraged by what I see from Fleming and Maluach.
NHD has been mostly disappointing but I see moments, I hope its just a confidence/settling in thing, as I want to see what he can do.
Butler playing his ass off tonight but I still don't see him as a piece that fits.
Livers shown some life too, maybe he has a future here.

Have you seen our '3 point' shooting of late? The hell Jared doesn't land a spot...unless our coaches are insane...
