The best thing that happened in this game was Booker fouling out. We would not have won if that had not happened.
Yeah I was actually relieved when he fouled out. He had a terrible game and they targeted him and let it get into his head. But in his defense he has been on a heater lately. I can forgive one bad game.
Ott SHOULD have pulled him.
It's obvious after this game that the Suns are owned by Book.
It is what it is; he was literally sabotaging his own team
Book had an awful game, but we still need him…we become so much easier to guard without Book. Book did help pull us back in and then we dropped off when he fouled out…then we won the game with just pure hustle…thats not a fluke as it’s literally our identity, but we still need good offensive sets and Book is the best for that.
I agree, but I'm fearful the owner/FO is going to say "look how good we are now, imagine if we had..." and then trade Grayson for Kuminga.
Not advocating…. On the flip side, imagine what ott could do with kuminga if it did happen.
If Kerr can't get him on the right track, I'm not sure anybody can. He started off the season pretty well, but his attitude has taken over and he's not doing so well as of late. I think it was a good pass on him.
You don't pull your best player and he wasn't sabotaging the team. He had an off game and the Wolves did a good job defending him. It happens to the best players.

Yep, and the other players get a lot of open looks due to his gravity. He does need to cut out the careless turnovers though.

Kerr's not notably great at dealing with young players, or at adapting to different ways of thinking and playing. I'm not saying Kuminga's not a headcase -- he might well be -- but he's still only been seen in one system, with one set of stars to orbit around, and with one coach with one particular philosophy of basketball. It might just all be a bad fit for his particular set of skills.
Kuminga has an ISO scoring game which doesn't mesh well with the movement offense the Warriors run with Steph. Guys like Podz, Moody and Post are younger players who have gotten time and developed under Kerr.
I know this is a silly exercise but do you realize that we are 7 points from being 13-3 and in 2 place in the west.
Jazz - 4/OT
Grizz - 1
Hawks - 2
Of course you can't "count" close losses, and other teams have lost close games, too. But I do agree that it is really encouraging that this team isn't getting blown out much. The last few years' Unbothered KD squads would get down by 10-12 points and hang their heads and then just let the opponent blow them out by 20-30 points. I don't know any stats on it but it felt like this happened way too often. This year's team has thankfully avoided this and kept fighting even in their losses or even when they get down early.
Book wasn't sabotaging the team and 90%+ of games, he's critical in our success. The gravity he has on the court to draw defenders free's up so much. I trashed on him all game because he had a TERRIBLE game but it was one game and we won.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
Had internet issues all night so just watched on and off using my data plan.
Was great watching it over just now
I actually peeped the Wolves commentary and yes they did ramble on about Brooks play late lol but to be fair they were decent and I've heard much worse homerism on League Pass.
They kept mentioning our identity, how Wolves hadn't beaten a .500 team and need to be able to handle our defensive pressure cause we're a problem
This has been a real test against a quality opponent
High intensity, competitive game between too good teams
And so on, were things they said
Anyways, I was a bit bummed to see Book unraveling again. This team has had our number mainly because of the physicality and length, we've been folding over and over and wishing we had someone who would hit back.
Glad to see Villain and Villain Jr not back down because it felt like deja vu watching Book with the turnovers and starting to complain about calls.
I get the it's just one game sentiment for Book but it's definitely a trend right now with Wolves
Last 3 games
17pts, 4reb, 5dimes with 6 TOs on 5/12 fg
10pts, 0reb, 6dimes with 4 TOs on 4/14 fg
16pts, 3reb, 10dimes with 9 TOs on 4/18 fg
It's like watching a QB against a team that has success sacking him. He's getting "happy feet" and missing easy throws (buckets) or making wrong reads passes for interceptions (turnovers) so he definitely needs to figure out these guys
As mentioned
It's not sustainable to win with him off the court so he can't be this ineffective either

It's something that will have to be addressed. He's got 10 more turnovers than any other player in the league. I think one problem is that he tends to force things and tries to create things when there isn't anything there. Take away some of ther ballhandling duties from him and it might alleviate that.

Another thing I caught on Wolves coverage is despite all his in game chirping....
Brooks made sure to get to Ant before he left the court to dap him up and say good game
Then in typical Dillon fashion he was barking and pointing at someone. If I had to guess, I will say it was probably Randle who maybe was being salty and not interested in showing Dillon any respect.
Man that was one of the great games I got a lot of joy from watching.. up there with Valley-Oop, Books Bubble Game and the Dragon against the Spurs.
CG take a bow. ...but everyone was awesome, even royce getting that rebound and put back in that run, as was Goodie who was just everywhere.. fun times again!
Ishbia seats are bottom left in the TV camera view and the seat next to him is empty in the comeback highlights. I went back and I think Barkley was probably there til like 104 - 111 with under 2mins left

Nice detective work! Who knew Barkley was a fair weather fan! Oh, well. His loss! He's probably kicking himself.
I just watched this yet again. Incredible stat. The Brooks offensive foul on the go ahead attempt was totally unnecessary. Randle was not close to the basket and facing the other direction. The shot got blocked but O'Neale recovered it.
