Oso has been sneaky impactful this year, it's wild. I think it's time to let Mark Williams take a few games off to reset himself and let Man Man get some run.

Good point. I don't know if Williams hit a wall or what but he was a zero on the court last night. I agree with this strategy.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Feb 25, 2026 7:45 amOso has been sneaky impactful this year, it's wild. Iggy has the leading defensive box plus/minus on the team. DBPM is a basketball box score-based metric that estimates a basketball player’s contribution to the team when that player is on the court. Plus 2 is considered "a good starter." Oso is at 2.3.specialsauce wrote: ↑Wed Feb 25, 2026 7:45 amOso has been sneaky impactful this year, it's wild. A fun team to watch again. A trade or two away from being a serious contender...

I have to admit, I wasn't sold on OSO last year, but he's done a great job this year, especially when you consider that he was a second round pick. I was with most people who thought Dunn was going to be the player to watch from last year's draft, but I've come around to appreciating what OSO can do on the court - play defense, pass the ball and not try to make plays he's not capable of on offense.
The Suns have managed to do pretty well the last couple of years when it comes to finding low-cost players who can contribute to a good team - Oso, Gillespie and Goodwin. There's hope for Maluach, Fleming and Dunn, and Williams is still young, so there's some reason to be optimistic about them building some depth so they can trade for some star power at some point.
