Ott needs a Lineup/Rotation Coordinator on the bench to tell him who to play and when.
It’s pretty piss poor that he can’t figure it out and it feels like 3 weeks of losing close games in similar ways.
Even against average teams this continues to be an issue and it’s a really large Achilles heal that threatens to hurt internal chemistry if they keep going to hero ball or he cannot prevent his players from going to hero ball.
I guess we will just blame reintegrating guys and it will get overlooked by media and podcasters once again.
Just more upset I didn’t follow the score and hedge in the 4th when it’s close because it’s becoming very predictable at this point. He Ott to know better!
The shot selection and overall offense down the stretch were atrocious.
Yes buts that’s been the case for several weeks and Ott and company have done stuff all about it. This team isn’t good enough to win close games consistently on talent, they need a better plan for the 4th.
What was with the technical on Brooks. Brooks was chirping at Paolo with a ref 5 feet away and the ref that is 40 feet away calls a tech on him 1:30 into the game while the ref right next to them does nothing? Makes no sense. Seems like the ref had an agenda before the game even started.
It really is baffling how bad the rotations have been lately. Allen + O'Neal for the entire 4th quarter is pretty much a worst-case scenario. I might have to change my sig.
Is there such a thing as a "rookie wall" for a coach? If so, Ott has hit it. He has been so great this season but in the past month or so he has struggled. Maybe he's burnt out. It's easy to blame our injuries, but now we have almost all of our guys back (except Mark Williams, hurry back big fella). I still have faith that Ott is seeing some of these losses, understands his own contribution to them, and is learning what to do better.
TF thinking is this? Green or no Green, why go smaller against one of the largest teams? We scored 11 points the final 9 minutes of the game!
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
I'm pretty Ott pilled, but last night was uh interesting. Tried to use the small grit vs bigs just didn't work. Grit can't always beat size and talent.
He didn't use what had been working with the Dunn, Fleming, Goodie, and even Man Man lineups. Maluach had 2 blocks in less than three minutes of play for god's sake! Dunn didn't even get in the game.

Exactly. The game before, that lineup (or a fair chunk of it) where we played the lockdown, tough and gritty lineup, we took a close game and blew the door open. Then we avoided that last night. That was some piss poor coaching.

Absolutely hilarious and yet not great that Brooks picked up a technical foul 1 and a half minutes into his first game back after 6 weeks out with a broken hand. Already one tech away from another suspension. The guy needs to check himself before he wrecks himself (and the team).
I already have a hard enough time watching Brooks on offense, his "Stanley from The Office" dribble into a behind-the-backboard shot when it mattered most was... I just don't have words.

I still don't understand how he got a technical foul for trash talking when the ref was 35 feet away. So confused.
