My wife and I just finished watching Slow Horses on Apple TV. We have really enjoyed it. British spy show, stars Gary Oldman. Only 6 episodes per season, 5 seasons out so far, so you can get through it pretty quickly. We just watched all of it; it's all good, though maybe Season 5 is not quite as good as the others. I recommend it.
Nice…. Gotta love the humor from Oldman.

We’ve been watch DTF: St. Louis. It’s meh.
Love SH. And totally disagree on DTF. I like it a lot.

Slow Horses is great. It's a shame we've seen it all already. Started The Americans last night. It wasn't bad but the production quality feels like a cable TV series. Not sure if that makes sense and can't put a finger on it. We will see if we continue or if I can convince my wife to finally give The Wire a go with me instead.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I LOVE The Americans. Didn't miss an episode. Also LOVE The Wire. So you can't go wrong either way but I advise watching both. BTW, I was all set to watch S1 finale of The Leftovers last night but was too tired. Wanted to be fresh. Tonight.

Good to know! I think we should watch more of The Americans. I really enjoyed the premise of the first episode and the FBI counterintelligence agent moving in next door. A lot of cast I recognized as well from other shows and movies.

As someone who watched, and really enjoyed The Americans, you've gotta prioritize The Wire. It's an all-timer. It may be a little less accessible of a series / less of a popcorn-Hollywood type watch, but it's just so rich and well done. Sneaky funny like The Sopranos, too.

Really enjoyed Leftovers S1 finale. Lots of crazy stuff but then a little light at end of the tunnel to end it. Looking forward to S2.

S2E1. Talk about a departure! (Pun intended.) Seemed like a totally different show from the intro to the brand new opening credits with a whole new tone. Different town. Didn't even revisit S1 characters until 2/3 of the way through the episode.

Yep! You get used to it. Miracle will grow on you. Lots of storylines and characters. And the girl from Yellowjackets.

Wife and I are starting Paradise, season 2. We have watched 2 episodes so far. We are enjoying it. Season 1 was decent but bumpy with some big flaws. Without spoiling, the plotting and characters didn't always make sense and overall it felt like a jumbled mess by the end. And the villains were really cheesy and obvious and over the top. Season 2 seems to be kind of a mostly-reboot of the show and a focus on some new characters integrating with core characters from season 1, not totally unlike The Leftovers season 2 in fact. Maybe they took some feedback and are improving the show in the second go-around. So far so good.

First two seasons were pretty good. On the whole, not really.
