Daigneault should get a special award for the unique teaching of teamwide flopping excellence.
He’s not a basketball coach though. He’s an acting coach.

It's been a "shoot and fall down" league for quite some time now.

Yeah, but OKC has perfected it. Most fouls per fall downs. Also perfected the fake and jump into your legally guarding opponent foul.

It's about time. Probably the least criticism they've faced this entire postseason. Let's hope it continues.

The NBA Board of Governors has officially voted to approve the proposed changes to the draft lottery, meant to address tanking.

I'm not sure I get any of the negative reaction to it. I don't love it, but I also don't really see anything wrong with it. The credit system that is being discussed is interesting.

I agree Inf…isn’t what I would have done, but I don’t see the issues that people say it will bring up. It stops tanking. It will result in some wacky draft results…but we’ve been getting those anyways.

Give it a year or two and teams will figure out how to (ab)use it.

That is sad news about Rick Adelman. He took a lot of shit for not ever winning a title and for some teams of his that fell short. But he won a ton of games across multiple franchises and is imo one of the greatest NBA coaches ever who did not win a title. I bet it made him exceedingly proud to see his son follow in his footsteps and become a successful NBA head coach. RIP.

Mr. Bean. Most punchable face in the NBA.

Wild. The Blazers and their El Cheapo owner low-balled their head coach, and now he's leaving for Chicago. Not an ardent defender of Splitter or anything, but this is clearly Splitter leaving over being insulted by their low offer; reportedly they wanted him to take $1m, which would have made him I think the league's lowest-paid coach by some margin. Good luck finding someone talented for that price! Nobody is going to want to work for that org as long as PNW Sarver runs the team.

EDIT: I didn't realize that the new owner of the Blazers, Tom Dundon, also owns the Carolina Hurricanes who won the Stanley Cup last night. Interesting. He probably thinks he really knows what he's doing as an owner. Maybe he does (in hockey).

That's a wild story, but good for Splitter. To take over a young team like that under those circumstances and get them to perform like they did was admirable.

Fun story: WAY back when I was living in Vegas, I went to see Argentina vs Brazil in a FIBA qualifying event, mostly to see our very own Leandro Barbosa. But there were a bunch of NBA guys playing in that game, including Splitter. Long story short, I found myself just outside the Brazilian locker room after the game, and got to meet Barbosa and Splitter, who were both super cool.
