Suns trade Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale for Miles Bridges
Re: Suns trade Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale for Miles Bridges
She may be a bit crazy and stepping over boundaries but doesn’t excuse what he did(also I hope you know I’m not saying you are excusing it Superbone). He plead no contest…that’s basically an admittance of guilt.
I’m not happy with it at all, but hopefully we get some more insight and see some evidence that Miles has made amends. Or at least attempted to. I would like to see evidence that he’s sorry and not the person who physically abused the mother of his children anymore.
I also hope his ex wife can move on and find some peace. It doesn’t sound like she’s been able to and that is sad as well. So tricky that they have to find a way to share custody.

He's a means to an end.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2026 6:37 pmI think Bridges is going to be pretty good for the Suns, and while a lot of people won't forget his crimes, they will cheer for him on the court and ultimately accept him.
Think of him as our next Oubre; you always knew he wasn't a fixture, but a piece to be used.

Y'all realize that we live in a world of gray, right?
"Bad" people can help, and "good" people can hurt;
God forbid any of y'all slip up, cause if you do....... WE'RE COMING FOR YOU!

When you go to a restaurant, do you guys ask the employees whether they have ever hurt anyone, gotten a DUI, etc? Because to be consistent you should make sure every employee hired by the owner has no checkered past before you support that business. We haven't even gotten to the shady owner yet.
Selective outrage is a term Chris Rock loves, and it rings so true in America nowadays.
Re: Suns trade Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale for Miles Bridges
It’s fine if you guys can look past Bridges crimes, but it’s weird you want to tell other people they need to as well. We don’t have to if we don’t want to. And not knowing everything everyone has done in their lives does not mean we are using selective outrage. Are there some awful people getting away with stuff we don’t know about? Of course, doesn’t mean we have to say no big deal to someone who put the mother of their children in the hospital.

Sure, but coming to a message board about the Suns and dramatically stating you'll refuse to follow the suns and cancel this subscription and make a boycotting website etc etc is also dramatic and unnecessary and frequently met with hypocrisy in posting that while wearing Nikes.Split T wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 3:10 pmIt’s fine if you guys can look past Bridges crimes, but it’s weird you want to tell other people they need to as well. I would agree to an extent…we all have to make our own choices on what we can tolerate. For some it’s easier to ignore what Nike might be doing than to ignore what Miles Bridges did. Domestic violence might be closer to some people’s personal lives than whatever Nike is doing.
I personally am not happy about bridges on the team..I won’t cancel my subscription to league pass or stop cheering for the suns, but I’m not excited to have to cheer for Miles. Getting some answers and seeing what he’s done to change as a person will help.

It's been very difficult to process everything this thread covers.
As Pickle said, the testimonies of people I've known for years through this forum, despite the distance, deeply affect me, and I absolutely do not wish to minimize their feelings or their pain.
And this man doesn't deserve to be defended, even if it's because he is in a situation where both are hurt and harm the other in different ways. And despite having direct experience with how difficult it is to get out of those toxic relationships, it really does take two to tango.
But on the other hand, just as I consider it essential to respect the level of distress they're showing, it's also valid for some others to decide that they're not going to boycott or renounce their team because of this transaction.
Imposing one's own point of view, no matter how justified one feels, is also a form of violence against others. I also have direct and terrible experience regarding DV, but I don't connect it with this team; I regret not being able to offer solidarity on that level.
Let's remember why the political forums 1- existed but, 2- were closed (are they still closed?):
1- Because of the need to separate certain topics from our fandom, however legitimate we consider them.
2- Because of a lack of respect for those who thought differently and a tendency to resort to insults and aggression against those who didn't share our point of view.
Several times I went there to read the posts, but I never published anything and eventually stopped reading altogether. Despite the closeness that Phx Suns provides, some perspectives and mine have very important, even fundamental, differences. And I prefer to continue appreciating you all for what unites us, rather than hating you for some of the things you think and believe are entirely correct.
We are a community, and we have never forced ourselves here to think alike, to love alike, or to hate alike. There are entire threads that are a monument to tolerance in this last sense.
Hopefully we can move forward together, despite this irrational move by our office, because I won't blame it solely on Ishbia, and leave Gregory alone in the good news; that man must also be held accountable and explain what no one else sees that justified this.
Peace and good wishes on all the Posters here.

Agreed but seems like a long shot, it’ll probably be Kennard but Melton intrigues me if he could ever stay healthy.JeremyG wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2026 2:12 pmFortunately, Huerter and Shamet were taken off the market. Looks like it’s going to be Kennard or Sexton. Hoping for Sexton, since he can play PG.Wally_West wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2026 7:17 pm
Luke Kennard
Kevin Huerter
Collin Sexton
Jordan Clarkson
De'Anthony Melton
Wild Card - Landry Shamet
It’s gonna be Shamet
It’s good to see you posting again, Jeremy!

I love this post. If I could, I would click like more times.
Regarding Superbone's post, one thing we have to take into consideration is that even for his ex it's probably better that he plays in the NBA.
If I got my ass kikced, but can live with some confort with a millionaire's alimony, it's better than to get my ass kicked by a inmate who will not be able to provide shit for the next 10 years.
We can't judge others motivations solely based on our own experiences. Barbosa's ex keep accusing him of abandoning his daughters, but one of them left Brazil to live with him. If you only listen to her side of the story, will would think he's a monster. The world is very, very, very grey.
Re: Suns trade Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale for Miles Bridges
My 2c: Nobody's opinion is invalid here, and I don't think it makes sense to bash people just for speaking their mind. I don't get the hate some folks have thrown at Sose for his post. He's pissed about the signing of a domestic abuser and he doesn't want to support the team any more. That's completely valid.
Some people are saying he is a hypocrite because he didn't quit the team after KJ, or Jason Kidd slapping Joumama, or the '80s drug scandals, or whatever else. But that is a fallacy; employing whataboutism isn't a reasonable way to refute his point. Sometimes something hits you wrong and upsets you and you've just had enough. "Why did you leave your husband after he did X? You didn't leave him after he did Y." Because Y was the straw that broke the camel's back, it was the thing that pushed you over the edge.
One specific example of why this particular issue can be the one that ends it for a given fan is that it comes from THIS owner and front office, not past ones. You can convince yourself to let past mistakes go, saying that they were committed by different owners, different managers, a different team structure. But this one is right now, it's Ishbia, it's our new ownership that is going to guide our team for years or decades to come.
Some people were bashing Sose for mentioning his phxsuns.net site. My read on that was that he was not bragging or trying to elevate himself at all; he was just trying to show that he's been a true-blue, diehard fan of the team for decades, so much so that he made a fan website that became large and popular. And now he's out on the team. It's a big deal to lose lifelong fans like that. That's all the point I saw there, not "I am somehow more important or better because I made a website."
Anyway, totally understand that not everybody is going to quit the team over this. I support and respect those who don't. But trashing Sose for taking a stand against supporting a team that welcomes woman-beaters is a bad take.

Has the mother of the children been sufficiently smeared enough for some of y'all to feel good about acquiring Bridges?

I see Flex has blessed this move with his "Chess, not Checkers" seal of approval and now I'm forced to go back and reevaluate.

Flex blesses every move, so you can confidently ignore him haha

I never shared these kind of updates because I thought they would be off-topic, but I see now it may not be:
Fanatics is dropping the suburb edition uniforms of my local Applebee's waitstaff. I AM STOKED. I'm definitely getting Tyler's because he is my favorite. I'll skip getting Mandy's because she is a cancer in the kitchen.
I have Tyler's trading card too. I always take him on Prizepicks for less than 0.5 plates broken. Dude is money with the server trey.
