It's a game of inches. 1.6% improvement.

Except Royce was probably good in that stat…I remember his 4th Q percentage was high.

47%. 0.8 on 1.6 attempts in the 4th on average.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

That's ANALYTICS; MUCH rather lose the distance variable to gain in the paint

I think Khaman will be a top-10 center this year for us.
I bought a gem-mint "Bowman orange/25" his rookie year.
I also have Rasheer Topps of /50 and /25 that I think may be valuable.

Anyone else card collect?

Not since the COVID induced influx of box breakers. Too expensive.

Not it since the early 90s when I was in college. I have a few Shaq, Zo, Grant Hill and Jason Kidd rookies though. And a Steve Nash.

I picked up some 1970s Suns cards on eBay this week - Ron Lee, Ricky Sobers, Curtis Perry and Charlie Scott. I try to concentrate on old Suns cards including Connie Hawkins, Dick Van Arsdale, Neal Walk, Gail Goodrich - all the way through 1990 or so.

I also think Maluach will be one of the ten best centers on the Suns roster.

In all seriousness, I completely agree, and think he is well on his way to being a top 5 center in the league. Has a lot of work to do but wow...his potential is sky high even if he doesn't develop post moves -- which he will.

Strangely enough, the way he looked in Summer League reminded me of...Oliver Miller with a jump shot. Maybe it is the baby face and the long arms. But the Big O was agile and mobile before he got hopelessly obese.

Although Big O was never svelte. He was always on the large side.

Incredibly agile and athletic...for his weight.

IMO we will be worse this coming season than last year. Even if you set aside the abuse stuff with Br****s (which is hard to do) I just don't think he is a great basketball fit. I don't think we need another score-first guy at the 4, especially if he isn't great at defense, rebounding, passing, or 3-point shooting. I think we will miss Grayson and Royce and that our deficiencies as a team were heavily masked by our strong 3-point shooting. Now we're just sort of mediocre to bad at everything.

You guys are talking about ManMan being a top-10 center. I also think he's got a lot of potential to be a good NBA center. But we doubled down on Mark Williams by re-signing him, and Coach seems to love Oso, so I dunno if we'll have enough minutes for Maluach. I also think Br****s will inhibit our ability to play Fleming enough minutes to grow and develop.

Last season was a real breath of fresh air, and I'm proud of what the team accomplished. But I think this summer, outside of re-signing some of our core guys, was a step in the wrong direction. IMO we'll be fighting for the play-in and will be lucky to get there. The main thing we have going for us is that the West seems to have gotten weaker this summer, so maybe we can tread water just by default.

I will note that I was dead wrong about us last year, and I am widely regarded as a dumb idiot. So hopefully I will be wrong this time, again.

I mainly agree with this. We have made it harder for the two players we are most excited about to get minutes, in Maluach and Fleming. And Bridges, Brooks and Green are sort of variations on the same theme on offense - scorers but not really playmakers or pure shooters. While Brooks is doing his thing with the ball, what do Bridges and Green do? Stand around and watch? I fear it could be like the KD Suns where guys take it in turns to go ISO ball.
I see the reasons to be optimistic but the more pessimistic view is winning me over at the moment. Also hoping to be proven wrong!
