Hinrich could serve as a nice coach on the floor for the second unit. Now that Thibs is gone, Chicago might surrender him easily. Only drawback is that, offensively, Hinrich may be out of bullets ...
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

Not sure how I feel...we have two "versatile PGs" and Archie who still needs minutes to develop. Never found that balance with IT, Dragic and Bledsoe. And even then, can't we just sign a veteran with the minimum for that role? Mo WIlliams, Hinrich? We need some veterans, not another rook PG.
Where'd you see this?

I was thinking about Mo Williams as well, but I wonder if that's a good fit. How about Greivis Vasquez? Great size, good shooter, solid contract, on a team I could see having interest in one or more Morrises.

"The more guys we can get on this team, whether it's point guard, off-guard, three-man, center, forward, whatever it is — that bring intelligence to the game can only help us. When we look at all these guys, we're looking at, 'How good is your knowledge of the game? Are you able to pick things up easily? Are you able to make easy reads?' "
If that's really the basis for being on the team, Eric Bledsoe's getting traded this off-season.

Sadly, with Bledsoe attending workouts and staying in PHX this summer, I don't think he's going anywhere.
Love, Hurts.

The more research I do, the more I'm liking our prospects of landing a really good player at 13. Whether it be Booker, Payne, Lyles, Turner or someone else, I think we'll come out well here.
Love, Hurts.

I would trade Marcus for a bag of balls right now. Not basketballs, testicles. So, yes please to General Greivis for Marcus.

That means we're trading it.

I doubt that we're trading the pick (unless it's to somehow trade up) but recent history would suggest we'll do something at least somewhat unexpected with it.

I was just kidding. Hopefully something good will come of it. McMiracle needs to pull one to make up for last year.

Such a pessimistic board these days.

... You guys still wish we had that Lakers pick instead of Brandon Knight?

Would really like to see Vasquez in the desert. Toronto would be stupid to trade him, though...

Portis v. Looney today. Two guys we could trade down for.

I think there's a very good chance we trade down.

Actually no, I think Knight is a better player than that LA pick would've gotten us. I think LA pushes for a play-off spot next year if they stay healthy.

Pushes for a playoff spot? They were absolutely horrid last year. They are still shackled to a gimpy Kobe and a moronic head coach. They will NOT make any kind of playoff push. Just look at Minnesota, a team with a bunch of great young talent. The Wolves didn't even come close to a playoff spot. Look also at Sacramento, a team with talent and with DeMarcus Cousins. They weren't close. You don't just become a playoff team by grabbing one top-2 pick to add to a horrendous roster. It takes years and takes a lot more talent than they will have.

It's still too early for me to know what we have with Brandon Knight. We also don't know where the Lakers pick will end up. There's not enough information yet to know if trading the pick was the right move or not.

Also depends on your philosophical beliefs. Did trading the pick alter enough events to cause the ping-pong balls to bounce a different way? Maybe. Had we hung on to the pick it could the it have somehow fallen to 6? Could be. We'll never know.
