I like Amare, but I don't know what exactly he brings to the table for a team like the Suns who need to be young and bad.

Really?! I don't see how he gets the max. He has never shown himself to be a max player. I don't think he'll get the max. I don't think he'll get as much as Bledsoe. Bledsoe got too much.
I disagree with all of that. I think you're putting too much into the word "max."

Interesting to read the comments in that reddit thread. A lot of fans out there are pretty high on Bledsoe. Hopefully there are a lot of GM's in the same boat.

I think the FO is really enamored with Bledsoe and is unlikely to trade him. He is "their" guy after all. They want him to be the face of the franchise.

Unless Bledsoe comes in this season having worked on a lot of his game it is hard to see how they can view him as a possible face of the franchise. I agree with you that they seem to believe that he is that guy.

It is hard to shake all the lack luster games where he just seemed to be going through the motions. Or how our offense just devolves into an iso game when he is in control of the ball. Sometimes his attempts at drawing a foul on a drive can be comical. Then the moment when he thinks he is in trouble and instead of dribbling the ball out he jumps in the air, panics, and throws the ball away.

Man our offense was hard to watch last season. I really hope that changes.

What has he done to deserve that? If that's the case, we're doomed.

And don't forget that he then lands on his butt leaving us 4 on 5 on the defensive end.

Wow. These evaluations of Bledsoe are like highlight reels in reverse. Only remember the absolute worst about a player, complete ignore the incredible games he had this year, and the excellent season the year before. I've had my frustrations with Bledsoe this year, but these evaluations have lost touch with reality.

This year's locker room was broken, and that was not Bledsoe's fault. Dragic decided to camp out in the corner and pout, IT was stirring things up, and Frye was not there to stretch the floor.

I guarantee this next year will be better. Bledsoe is not nearly as bad as some of you say.

I agree, but he is still far and away from a Nº 1 guy, not even a 2nd best. A career year from Goran two years ago, allow him to operate with no pressure, this year not so much, and he crumble under the pressure.

He would thrive playing with Melo getting the load of attention, and we would get a clean slate with a Nº 4 pick hopefully with the 13th as well. I really hope we can pull this off with another sweetener like Tucker (Len, Warren even Goodwin are not sweeteners) while also shipping the twins out for some help for Brandon Knight

So next year we roll mixing a stud guard, and a stud PF freshly drafted, with our ongoing projects in Len and Archie, Knight as the stud that keep us on float and TRUE veterans in the like of Wright and Granger.

Be prepared to be Timberwolves lvl bad if that is the route we go. I wouldn't mind. I would have rather watched the Wolves last year versus what we put out there the 2nd half of the year.
Go Suns!

The team desperately needed leadership last year in so many ways and Bledsoe just didn't seem to be able to provide it. I can't see that changing, so would be fine with moving on from him

Bledsoe's not a leader. He's just a player.

I prefer be '15 TWolves bad, that '15 Suns bad. Because we were a bad team, only management kept thinking/speaking otherwise after the first month.

We were not a good team last year, not even a competitive/malaise years team, not even that last Gortat/Nash team.... that was clear to me early in the season. I want a Championship really bad, but I'm not obsessed by this, to the degree of putting up with a sixers "strategy". Instead, I'm willing to root for a team with a puncher's chance to make it, kind of our last year in the playoffs, where we advanced against the odds, but still came a boxing out away short. I can live with that kind of effort for a year.

So yeah, I would be willing to digest a couple years like this. Of course, if we manage to send the Morri for some building block immediately steeping into the court, we could be in this very same spot on the rankings, but with much, much better upside looking forward that keeping the current squad, just to chase all over again that 8th spot.

My pipe dream? That Nash-led summer renaissance, today we look a lot like that previous year.

I don't think we do. We have too many redundant players or just role players. Summer of 2004, we had a big hole at PG but had young, starting talent in JJ, Shawn, Amare. Those guys were light years ahead of PJ Tucker, the Morri, etc. I'd almost be fine gutting it and going with Knight, Archie, TJ, some high level PF like Monroe or a draft pick and Len for the year.

For the Suns , he brings nothing.

But he would be a perfect cheaper replacement for David Lee on GSW.

It sounds like Amare is keeping all doors open, because he knows he can't be too choosy anymore.

Apparently the Suns are shopping Bledsoe.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
