Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
The black uniform is kind of plain but kind of cool.
The little bit of purple on the court helps but I'd like a little more. I like the sunburst better at center court than the ambigram. You still get the ambigrams on the end lines.

I hate the black jerseys. I hate all of them. The best of the bunch are the purple ones and that is a stretch. I like the sunburst on the court but wish the paint was purple and the lines orange.

For the love of all that is good, put Bledsoe and Kieff in another team's jersey and be done with it.

Need more sunburst on the jerseys, less PHX's.

I really like the new court.
The black jersey would be much better if numbers and letters had the same colour scheme. Or just leave the number borderless, like it looks in the first couple of pics.
Oh, and they absolutely need to use the sun on the grey alternate shorts to replace the 'flames' on the rest of them.

lol, carmelo is in win now mode, porzingas is all potential. keef is the real deal under reasonable contract.Sunsfan4life wrote:Kieff is a better player then Davis. PASS.SDC wrote:keef to portland for ed davis works
keef to NY for porzingis + seraphin
keef to minn for dieng+bjelica
No way the Knicks give up Porzingas for Kieff.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
The time to make that trade was before the draft, if it were even possible. People also scoffed when I mentioned a trade for DLee. Doesn't look so bad now huh.
Minny might make sense for Bennett but they're probably inclined to keep Bennett at this point.

I haven't bought a jersey in years, so they probably don't care what I think.

I would really push hard to get Bennett. He's looked really good on the Canadian team, and I really think the kid just got off to a rough start with injuries and on a mess of a team (pre-LeBron Cavs). I'm not saying he's going to be an all-star, but I think he can be a quality player. Plus, I think we can get more from Minnesota than just him.ShelC wrote:The time to make that trade was before the draft, if it were even possible. Glad to see the sunburst back at center court!
Those unis are pretty blah. Hate the black and gray ones.

Hornacek hopeful for Morris return: http://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/n ... /71928644/
“It’s a case of hopefully he can get here and we can all talk to him,” Hornacek said. “I think, once he gets here with the players, maybe the players can help with that regard and realize that probably, like anything else, it happens when you might not be happy with the organization. But you’re a professional. You go out there and play as hard as you can. Really, when you get out there and start playing games, you’re not playing for the organization. You’re probably not even playing for your coaches. You’re playing for yourself and your teammates because that’s the bond those guys have as players. Once he gets playing with these guys, I think he’ll be OK.”
Go Suns!

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
I'm happy to have Bled in the backcourt. His defense against elite PGs (sans Chris Paul) is tremendous. His decisionmaking leaves a lot to be desired, but I think that with another creator in the back court, that weakness will be mitigated. In a year's time, when the rotation is solidly those two plus Booker, I think we'll be great. I do believe that Booker will earn a starting spot by his third season, however, which will put pressure on the FO to decide between Bled and Knight. But, though I crave action, I think the patient approach will pay dividends.
I also think the FO is being smart about Keef. Get him on the court, and other FOs may forget a little about the off-court stuff. Plus, he's an ironman, and people get injured in this league.

Part of me really dislikes that the org is sending the message that they want to amend things and keep the player, but on the other hand, that's how you have to play it if you want a trade for something worthwhile.
Wish we knew what kind of offers, if any, the FO has been getting since the fiasco blew up.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
The FO wants to win. That's how you get free agents. I think they trust their scouting department to do well in the draft relative to where we pick, and for that reason, they'll take the combo of middling/low picks and free agents to high picks and no free agents if they can get it.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason (2015)
Since we all see he isn't a knock-down outside shooter, he has poor decision making, and he doesn't have great handles in traffic, how can he be effective as a 1 or a 2? And he defense is great, when he plays it. You can easily count several plays each game that he takes off, and I don't mean puts for 80% effort. It is when he is under his own basket and doesn't even bother to get up.His decision making leaves a lot to be desired, but I think that with another creator in the back court, that weakness will be mitigated.
