Re: Suns Training Camp 2015
Guys i need help. I need to buy 5-6 suns t-shirts locally and I cant find any! Everything is Cardinals/ASU stuff and youre lucky if theres a single rack of Suns stuff.
My only option left is to go to the team shop in the airport and I know the prices are gonna be jacked up there.

Devin Booker's play, persona belie age for Phoenix Suns
Devin Booker is the youngest player in the NBA. Heck, he was one of the youngest people on campus last week when the Suns held training camp at Northern Arizona University.
Other than an upcoming 19th birthday on Oct. 30, indicators of Booker’s youth have been as rare as frowns from a rookie going through his first Suns experiences.
Booker shared the scoring lead Saturday night in the Suns’ intrasquad scrimmage at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, matching teammate Eric Bledsoe with 15 points for the winning team. Nobody matched Booker for reception from fans, who welcomed him with the loudest ovation even before he made five of 11 shots, including two of four 3-pointers to fortify his shooting reputation.
Even when Bledsoe missed, it was a polished move like a pump fake with a dribble drive to the baseline for a runner. He had a second-quarter stretch of seven points in a minute when he scored on a 3-pointer, driving layup and two free throws. It was consistent with the impression that he put on coaches and teammates for the past few weeks of pickup games in Phoenix and training camp in Flagstaff.
“The kid knows how to play,” Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said. Read more...
I get the feeling that Ryan may have hit a home run with drafting Booker.
Re: Suns Training Camp 2015
Agreed. I also wonder if it's only a matter of time before we unload a PG to make way for Booker.
Re: Suns Training Camp 2015
I see Archie's time here coming to a close with the emergence of Booker and the signing of Weems.
Re: Suns Training Camp 2015
The biggest question of this coming season for me is: Will we boot Bledsoe, or Knight? I'm leaning toward wanting them to trade Bledsoe, but we'll see. I firmly believe the two-PG lineups won't really work for this team because Bledsoe isn't good enough at shooting or distributing the ball.

Re: Suns Training Camp 2015
My dislike of Bledsoe is well known around here, but I don't know enough about Knight yet to cast a vote either way. He's younger than Eric... healthier. A better shooter. But not nearly the defender or rebounder that Bledsoe is. I don't think the trade would come this season regardless.Mori Chu wrote:The biggest question of this coming season for me is: Will we boot Bledsoe, or Knight? Re: Suns Training Camp 2015
I don't think a trade would come this season either, and PG seems to be the most plentiful position in the league.
A more philosophical question is, do you keep the more talented PG or the PG that Booker fits best with? Not to say Booker is the end all be all, but if Bledsoe is better at penetrating and drawing in defenders, that may help open things up for Booker. Knight may be the better leader, shooter. It'll be interesting.
And yea, I get the feeling Archie is outta here.

the nice thing is that one of the pg's, Kieff, picks, and even PJ all are good pieces to trade with.carey wrote:Yes, please.ShelC wrote:Agreed. I also wonder if it's only a matter of time before we unload a PG to make way for Booker.
Re: Suns Training Camp 2015
Bledsoe may be better at penetrating and drawing defenders. But will he actually see Booker, make the correct basketball decision, and pass to him? I'm skeptical. I really wish that Bledsoe were significantly better at either shooting or passing. Then he'd be a star PG. You can't be a team's lead PG and be bad at both.ShelC wrote:A more philosophical question is, do you keep the more talented PG or the PG that Booker fits best with? Seeing him tweeting back and forth with the Morrii isn't very encouraging.ShelC wrote:And yea, I get the feeling Archie is outta here.

Re: Suns Training Camp 2015
Yeah, I'd be happy to have him on the Suns.
