At the very least it is disingenuous. I've come to expect that of the front office though.

I'd prefer to be a cog in that machine rather than target the prize. I know the MO is to acquire a star, but I love me some Alex Len.

I have no problem with the FO's disingenuity. You don't show your hand when you're negotiating.

Would you guys do Morris, Weems and a pick for Ariza and Jones?

A 2nd rounder maybe. Not one of our firsts.

I would but I don't think the Rockets are looking to move Ariza? And I'd also want Tucker moved in that kind of deal to free up minutes.

I'd rather have Leuer and Telly going into next year than Jones - primarily because of how much each will cost (Leuer will give us the best bang for the buck). I really, really don't think Jones is a good fit for us. I mean, do you guys want to pay $12 mil per for another bona fide asshole, except that this one only applies in about 2/3 of the games? There are teams out there with big enough holes that Jones makes sense for them (looking at you, Wizards), but we're not one of them.

If the Bulls are looking to make changes, I'm willing to bend over backwards to take Portis off their hands.

JC always did this right. He would just refuse to comment on rumors and speculation. Simple, no lying, no playing coy.

Bullshit. We got wind of a ton of stuff that was coming down the pike, whether it be the trades we would make or the players we were interested in.

I think sometimes we tend to view JC as Jesus Christ and not Jerry Colangelo. For as great as an owner as he was, his tenure still accounts for as many championships as when he hasn't been a part of the organization.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

No way. Obviously a trade is not completed yet or it would have been announced already. He said that the reason Markieff is not playing right now is because Leuer and Mirza were playing better. That is a fact. We all have been calling for Kieff's benching. And not just a reduction in pt. Total benching until he decides he wants to play or he gets traded. Whichever comes first.

He said that he might be depressed. Certainly, its a head thing, one way or another. He said that they will eventually work him back in if he gets his head back on straight. That is true as well (if no trade happens). That's how a coach has to think, he is not the GM. Trades sometimes happen and sometimes they don't. He has to have a plan if the status quo remains.

Agreed. I wonder what it would actually take.

I don't know why everyone always assumes mgmt is lying.
I think its pretty clear that Kieff is in some sort of depressive funk. He has suffered a loss. He and Marcus brother had always dreamed of starring together on the same NBA team. However juvenile, to him its the loss of a dream and a huge life adjustment. He might even understand deep down its their own fault. I would not be surprised at all if he is getting counseling for this.

So, has he been benched because he is in a slump? Sure. I can see that. Does that mean that he is not on the trading block? Nope. Not at all.
Not trying to be a dick (don't you love when people start off posts that way? They are usually lying. I am not. :) ), but you always are taking the org's side on pretty much everything. I am not saying that is a bad thing (told you I am not being a dick). I just find it curious that for someone with as much history with the team is always defending the org.

My best guess is we're waiting to get in on a big deal. If Howard, Whiteside and/or Cousins move, the ripple effects will be widespread. You know Boston will be involved.

I've seen a bit of Twitter chat about a potential deal with the rockets - Markieff for Jones and Brewer. But apparently Brewer can't be traded til mid January.

What a sight. Fans constantly checking the news feeds and Twitter for news or rumors of some sort of trade. Excited like kids on Christmas morning. We're not even expecting to get much in the deal, we're just giddy about the idea of the guy being gone.

If Keef is paying any attention to this, it probably isn't helping his depression. Or his anger.

I'd love to somehow pry Covington from Philly. Good young player on a great contract. Can play the 3 or 4. I don't think they'd trade him for Kieff, though.
