That photo is just about what it feels like.

I just want the best. The best execs, the best coaches, the best players. No excuses, no cutting corners, no cheaping out. You get what you pay for. McD can be a fine exec and I'm still OK with him. But get a legit coach with a winning track record who's going to coach these guys up. Or, sell off the high contracts, keep Watson and dump the next two years and then when you're ready to win, go out and get a coach. But don't keep this roster in tact and tell us that Watson needs a shot at coaching this roster with the team at full strength. It won't make a difference.

Let's also say, for shits and giggles, we hire a guy like Thibs this summer. How many wins do we think he could get us with the current roster? Lineups consisting of Bledsoe, Knight, Booker, TJ, PJ, Len, Chandler, Mirza/Leuer, a high draft pick and maybe another PF...40 wins? 45? Do we make the playoffs?

The team as currently constituted isn't winning anything. Nothing wrong with Watson if we're going to grow the young guys. When we have a team that can compete, then we'll reevaluate.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Irrelevant #1: Thibs wouldn't come to a mess of a situation (roster and FO).
Irrelevant #2: It doesn't matter if we win even 48 games. We would be a 1 and done playoff team

Shel--Name a legit coach that would come here currently? I just don't see one.

As far as coaching I firmly believe money talks. Sarver would have to open his pocket book for a head coach which he hasn't done once in his 12 years of owning the team. The situation isn't completely dire, especially if we get a top 2 pick. Continuing to hire someone new to coaching over & over won't solve anything though.
Go Suns!

Also, i would bet a lot of money that at least 3 players on that list aren't here next season. I think there's going to be a major shakeup.

Hiring Terry Porter when we were trying to compete for a Championship was the Sarver-iest of Sarver moves.

Ugh. Just when I have that horrible coach out of my head, somebody brings him up again. :-) Grr, $aver.

The Suns are stuck with me. Suck or not. Call me homer. You have to go through some bad times to appreciate the good times. Maybe that isn't true. We probably complained more around here during the good times than the bad.
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

#1 - I think we're in a better situation that place like Brooklyn, Sacramento and Chicago. McD is a seasoned exec whose moves haven't worked out. But he's not necessarily incompetent or completely inexperienced. Sarver's a tool of a owner for sure.

#2 - True, but the point was more about Watson being able to coach up this roster and get the most out of it vs a coach with a proven track record.

Money does talk and if you can pay a coach and convince them you're committed to winning, you can get a Lionel Hollins, Thibs, Scott Brooks. And I've actually changed my mind on dumping and leaving Watson as coach. Get a legit coach now to instill the right things in the young guys and teach them proper NBA play. Don't let them develop bad habits or get used to losing.

Im with Nodack! Just to put it in perspective. At least the suns can't fall out of the NBA.

Im also a huge Football (Soccer) fan in Italy. I support Napoli, always have. about 10 years ago the Club went bankrupt and had to start new from the third Division. I watched every game of the two seasons they spent in third Division. Watched every game in the season they spent in second Division. Now ten years later they are in second place in the top league Serie A Standings and have a legit shoot at the title and i couldnt be prouder.

What the suns and we as suns fans are going through is tough, but i will still watch every game and root for them till the end. It is worth it, i can guarantee you that.

A) I just don't buy that argument for Brooklyn and Chicago. Their roster may be a mess, but they have their city/history with which we just can't compete.

B) Have you been watching this org for the past 10 years? Nothing Sarver can say will change that.

Unless Sarver swallows his pride, takes a leap of faith, and brings in some savvy basketball mind(s) to run the show, it will same shit, different day. McD is OK in some aspects, but very green in others.

Look at how Mike Bidwell has entrusted the Cards to Kiem, Arians and crew. While they've yet to make the playoffs, the DBacks are on the uptick with LaRussa, Dave Stewart and their staff ... that was a concession by Kendrick, who can be quite the horse's ass, when pressed.

In the waning days of the late '80s, Jerry Colangelo brought in Cotton Fitzsimmons to assess the situation and develop a plan. This was the same Fitzsimmons who left Phoenix after Jerry refused to give him more say in player matters during the Hawkins years. Both mellowed and realized the opportunity.

I'm tired of having the franchise being a training ground for intern coaches and agents dressed up as general managers. The team needs experienced basketball management pros to do some serious triage and get the patient back up on its feet.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

I really think that McDo will be fine, once Sarver just lets him do his job. Almost everything that we see as a failure or misstep of McDo, has Sarver's meddling fingerprints all over it.

Who are these so-called management pros that are available and why are they not currently employed by the teams that they did such an amazing job for?

Somebody on AZSports was saying that he read into Sarver's letter that McDo would have more autonomous control. I didn't get that but it will be interesting to see if that's true and what it would result in.

Everyone is entitled to their own hunches, but I think Ryan has been more than complicit in the state of the franchise.
