Game Day: Knicks (26-39) @ Suns (17-46), Wed 3/9/16

I'm not sure if our defense could actually get any farther away from their shooters. Everything is so wide open.

Booker with an awful turnover inbounding the ball. Just really fucking lazy.

21-7 Knicks so far in the fourth quarter.
Pretty embarrassing.

I don't miss Dragic as much as I thought I would...except when we play against Vujacic. Dragic used to murder that little arrogant fucker.Wally_West wrote:Sasha Vujacic is a piece of shit.

That baseball pass from Price to Tucker in the first half about made me throw up. Ronnie Price has no business throwing that pass let alone to PJ Tucker. Let alone on a fast break. Let alone bouncing it no higher than his ankles.
But yeah they were talking about taking the interim tag off of Watson. Really? I give him full credit for the emergence of Booker and Len but come the fuck on. What else has he done other than say the word love 30 times during interviews? I would like to keep him on the bench but "because he's good with players" doesn't make him qualified. He was a recent former player. I'd hope he'd know what this generations players want to hear.
Thanks for the ping pong balls Knicks. Thanks for letting Devin go off. Your move Denver.

Exactly. Now he said the only problem is people mistake him for Tom Brady.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Fun fact: Hipsters are the exact reason he cut it.Wally_West wrote:Lou Amundson looks weird without his hipster man bun.

Well, my fears of a win were unfounded. Booker was the only Sun who came to play in the first half. And then the Knicks couldn't miss from three. Ball game.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

You know, I like some things about Watson. I really like the way he comes off in interviews and if I was a player, I would go to bat for a guy like that. BUTEDC wrote:Well so much for our offensive system being better. We aren't even running that screen under the basket. Shrug.
- His rotations are so messed up. You don't play a 19 year old 39 out of the first 41 minutes. I don't care how well Booker was playing. Give the guy a breather. He played 18 straight minutes in the second half and was clearly gassed.
- He's very slow to respond if the Len/Chandler pairing is not working, which to be clear, it doesn't most of the time. Statistically, it's a big net negative, but against teams like Memphis it can work.
- He seems to be slipping in to the "Terry Porter 0 or 1 sub in the 1st and 3rd quarters" strategy.
- Ronnie Price 34 out of the first 41 minutes. Tucker 30 minutes (none at PF where he could have made a nice impact). Tyson Chandler, looking especially corpse-like today, playing minutes in the 4th in a 30 point game. Goodwin only 13 minutes. Ugh to it all.
- Our offense is really nothing special. Maybe Watson is trying to simplify things, but watch what happens when we throw the ball in to Len. 4 guys stand around the perimeter and watch. I also don't see much sophistication in our defense. Consider, we've given up 122, 112, 116, 118, 124, 116, 126, 108 and now 128 in our last 9 losses with a starting lineup which supposedly includes 4 plus defenders. We don't seem to be able to guard the interior or the perimeter. What's the strategy? It can't all be hugs and love and process and rah rah.

Went out to eat and watched the Dem debate instead of this game. Glad Booker had 30. Glad we lost. Next.
