If I pay someone 250k to not talk or I will sue them, then they talk and I don't sue them, then maybe there isn't anything I can sue them for.

If you hear his tape, there isn't much doubt. He did it. And paid to cover it up by getting her parents to buy in. It is disgusting.

We'll never know what happened, but I agree the evidence is pretty stacked against KJ. I think the thing back then was that when she recorded him he never admitted to it...I think he said something to the extent of "What you thought happened...didn't exactly happen" but when they pulled the 30 FOR 30 on him because of the allegations I read up a little more on it and they said KJ actually had been tipped off by the Girls psychologist that she opened up about it and he knew she may of been recording him.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Exactly. That psychologist should have lost their license. And the girls' parents should have been ashamed of themselves.

So why bring it back up 20 years later?

Because you are sick of lying and covering up. It's sexual assault of a minor. They aren't in the best mental state. That's like asking why all of Cosby's victims brought it back up.

I'm not defending KJ but financial gain could be another reason.

The phone call is super damning. That is one guilty man right there. You don't talk like that if you didn't do anything.

KJ is slime. It's sad for us as fans, but it's true.

What is it with all these former Suns named "Johnson" having trouble controlling their ... Johnson? (KJ, 4th Base Frank)

I am confused why you would think that could help. If she is lying, and she just came forward to get a few thousand dollars to tell this lie, his lawyers would sue her for being in breach and just take whatever money she was paid.

The fact that he is in public office, and being lauded as a public servant would be repugnant to a person that had been abused. A personal sense of justice eventually overcomes personal risk.

Yes, it could be money, but it doesn't seem likely.

I'd think we'd have to get rid of at least one high priced combo guard to make it worthwhile. I wouldn't mind a guard rotation of Bledsoe, Booker, Price, and Bogdan. We'd definitely need to go back to a traditional PG/SG lineup to make it feasible (which I'd hope for).

Archie better have his bags packed... though I bet he's had them packed for about a season and a half already.

Yep, that's a given. There's no room for shooting guards that can't shoot.

I can't imagine we sell low on Brandon after a season. If he stays low, maybe after next season. Besides, McD loves to put players he wants to trade in an agitated state, make it look like we would prefer to keep them. Turning Brandon into a sixth man might simultaneously improve his performance and piss him off.

What do you guys think of Bender? I'm not a big college or overseas guy so I don't do the draft all that well. I'm just tired of short players for their positions. The 6'9 power forwards. The 6'3 shooting guards.

I would be happy to have an athletic 7 footer with skills. Question is does Bender fit that bill?

Well he's athletic. Very fast for his size. He can pass. I think his shot is the problem right now. As well as his frame. Needs to add weight.
Go Suns!

Stats indicate (though not conclusively) that he can shoot the long ball. Twiggy af. Moves extremely well for his size, but doesn't seem to have hops. Not really a scorer. Great passer, according to accounts. Also according to accounts, he has a high motor. Great rebounder in the international U18, but hasn't rebounded particularly well in Israel.

My best guess is that he's at least 1, probably 2 years away from being a contributor. Like Len, he'll probably spend most his first two years in the weight room. If he lives up to his potential, he fits us very well as a stretch 4 who also rebounds, plays great D and passes to our primary scorers. Should also be able to play the 3, but probably not the 5 due to his slight frame.

Hypothetically, if we took him at 3/4/5, who would we target at 12? Luwawu, perhaps? Not a great draft for small forwards. Really, it's just a great draft for 2s, 4s and nothing else as far as I can tell, though there appear to be plenty of back-up bigs available due to the international crop.

You think he's athletic? You think he's "fast for his size"? You think he can pass, is that it? Let me tell you something. Look at him - he's a bum. You want to see something funny? You go visit Dragan Bender in five years. You'll see how goddamned athletic he is.
