Game Day: Jazz (38-38) @ Suns (20-56), Sun 4/3/16

Post by Superbone »

Time: 3:00 pm AZ (3:00 pm PT/6:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

Early game today. Jazz have been playing pretty well even without Favors as Trey Lyles has been playing well in his stead. Hopefully, we'll stay competitive before losing at the end. No Knight and Leuer is questionable.

Go Suns!!!

Was that a left handed layup attempt from Len? I can't rewind.

Yes, it most definitely was. Eddie Johnson even comments on it. He kept the ball high and shot with his left to prevent Gobert from blocking the shot.

Len just serving up the block to Gobert by using his right hand after spinning off his right shoulder.

Gobert > Len.

I guess this isn't news.

Len is doing a Big Jake imitation, playing shorter than his height. Really ... 0-8 from the field??
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

Makes you wonder if Tyson, not Alex, is the center of the future. :?

Alex has disappeared in way too many games this year.

I'd rather be patient with Len.

And the Suns lose 101-86 to stay one game ahead of Brooklyn in the lottery race.

Len 1-18 over his last two games. Has that ever been done by a 7 footer in NBA history?

Teletovic with three threes. He is three away from setting the all-time NBA record for most threes off the bench.

Me too. And it is not like he was ever in contention to be a top 5 center in the game. We are years away from being competitive. Let him work on stuff each summer and keep growing.

While being patient, somebody should also put him in a position to succeed.

By no stretch of the imagination is he a power forward. It's an experiment that is not going well; he's hurrying his shots and making bad decisions in the outcourt. He's not comfortable as a 4 and it shows. Rather than setting himself, he flings flat-footed jumpers that are getting blocked. He's 7-1 and getting his midrange shots blocked. Egad.

It reminds me of when the Knicks had both Cartwright and Patrick Ewing. Hubie Brown played Ewing at 4 and Patrick was none to happy or comfortable with it.

I am not as opposed to him playing a stretch position, but you can't do that when we have such an awful team on the court. It only sets him up for failure. And you should be developing a game plan to put your future in the best spot possible. Right now, with the injuries and the crap season, we should be forcing everyone on the active roster not named Booker or Len to be doing everything they can to support Booker and Len. Instead we let everyone play for themselves, and it hurts our future.

I love that PJ and Price try harder than anyone else on the court (and I think there are good lessons to learn from that), but the way we use them is just acceptable for today, and jeopardizes our next year and beyond.

I am really disappointed in Ryan for not making this a priority.
