Why do college players hire agents before the draft? They can't negotiate their NBA rookie contact salaries anyway, can they?

It only makes sense if you're going to be a higher draft pick to help set up meetings, workouts and depending on what agent you Klutch onto, it might help relatives get a job.

I know this doesn't exactly fit into the NCAA tournament thread, but Thon Maker declared for the draft right out of hs in Canada. Right now, and it's still really early, he might be my favorite for the Suns if they don't get a top 2 pick.

Maker is Capela levels of raw, I wouldnt take him in the lottery. I'm not sure i'd even take him in the 1st round.
Love, Hurts.

Capela level raw? You can't be serious.

I heard he has a great voice. He sings in a raw-Capela group.

On second thought, I just looked at his weaknesses video, oh gawd that's cringe worthy.

Seriously serious. He's improved from his junior year physically, but I still think he's a very long ways off.
Love, Hurts.

I think it was Woj (maybe someone else) saying that most FO folks have seen him regress the last two years, not get better.

Man, I don't watch much college ball but that was a good one!

Down to the wire, incredible shots by both sides, could easily have gone either way. I guess there's something to be said for keeping your team together for a few years. Someone described this as college Spurs vs. Warriors. While the Warriors comparison is a stretch, especially stylistically, the general analogy is sound. Amazing finish. Congrats Villanova.

WOW! 1 of the greatest shots in college basketball history. Jenkins is one of the more confident kids you'll see. Jay Wrights reaction was complete shock.

Congrats to Nova....I live about 2hrs from their campus. The whole state was pulling for them...
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Was it? I saw a gif. He said Bang then smirked like he knew it all along. Definitely wasn't shock.

BTW...How unselfish is Ryan Archidiancano to give that ball up? What 22yr old doesn't dream of that moment and shoot it? for him to realize how open Jenkins was and give it up in that moment...what a leader.

Interesting fact....1 of the kids I coach, his mom went to Nova and is a huge fa. Knows Arch's parents real well.

How do you not jump out of your skin there? He was pretty stoic for a guy who just won a national championship at the buzzer.

That felt like a designed play to me...
