How the hell did you get that so quickly, bob!

So, if I read that right:

Under Watson we were better in FG defense, same in most else, but gave up more points... How does that happen? Rebounding differential?

Turnovers killed this team all year long. And they forced fewer of them under Watson.

So opponents got more shots up against Watson's Suns and also shot more free throws.

If I was going to say there was one thing that I would point to as the biggest weakness of this team it is passing. They led the league in turnovers despite starting two "point guards."

Watching them try to throw lob or entry passes was just horrific all year long.

It may be the worst passing version of the Suns ever. Even the inaugural year team, with Van Arsdale, Snyder and Goodrich, knew how to make decent entry passes.
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

Got it, bob. I was thinking that was how many TOs we forced, not how many we committed. That makes more sense.

And yes, our passing was dreadful. I guess that is what happens when you have so few fundamentally sound players, and none of them are your starting PG. Or starting Point GuardS.

Most turnovers in the league this year. Second worst in turnover differential. Only OKC was worse, which tells you one of the big problems with OKC.

Biggest problem with turnovers: Bledsoe, Knight, Kieff, Booker, Len, Archie.

BTW, Ronnie Price did very well in avoiding turnovers.

Price was the only real point guard on the team. Which meant starting Bledsoe, Knight and Goodwin at point guard of course.

Watson is a bum and our team was crap with him at the helm. I saw no real signs of life or improvement from us with him as our coach. The only argument in his favor is that he was not in every way measurably a lot worse than Hornacek, who we fired. I can't see the slightest case for keeping him.

But the players like him and he says neat thing in interviews.

I get the feeling you guys didn't watch much Suns basketball this year. I watched it all.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Ufff, at the start of the season Markieff was unplayable. Every touch looked like it was either a shot or a turnover. The PGs struggles are well documented. Booker's TOs are a necessity for the sake of his development if you want to make him the focus of an offense. Len's hands are not great but bad passes compund the issue.

I watched a lot of the first half of the season. I admit that I have watched a lot of partial games during the second half because it's been tough.

To call Watson a "bum" is totally misguided.

Sorry. Agreeing with you. Depression seems to be contagious on the board right now. Seems that everything is being seen by some in a negative light beyond all imagination.

Medication might help.

Speaking of depressing, Wormwood would fit in just great right now.
