I'm more concerned about PJ v. TJ. TJ needs to start, but I have no confidence that he will actually get the nod. We will keep hearing that TJ needs to improve defensively, while ignoring the fact that he kicks the living **** out of Tucker on offense.

The other argument is that maybe it's better for TJ not to play at the same time as the dueling ballhogs Bledsoe and Knight, because he'll never get any shots. Maybe it's best for Warren to come off the bench where he and Booker can actually get a decent amount of offense in. Then you have a bulldog of Tucker out there with the chucking guard starters to help cover for them defensively (though PJ's defense seems to be falling off). I don't like it but I think that may be the logic.

I don't think Warren's style fits with us. He needs a pure distributor who can get him the ball off cuts or in transition. We don't have those players.

Most of the Suns suffer from not having a pure distributor, including Bledsoe and Knight. Everyone would play better immediately if they had that player.

What kind of player plays well with a pair of selfish chuckers?

Probably the kind that decides when and where the chuckers get the ball.

Maybe not so much a pure passer, but a passing/motion offense with multiple guys touching the ball. Warren isn't a natural shooter, but a natural scorer who can work in the midrange, make cuts, finish in traffic a bit.

That's the odd thing about this draft. Ingram might be the better overall prospect to be a team alpha, scoring leader etc. But Simmon's skill set would fit very nicely with this Suns team. I actually think the ball would get down into the post more, because the guards would have hopes of getting it back out again in a good position to score.

This is what I'd like to see. Much like the Warriors' offense.

Yeah, McD said they'll start with 28/34 candidates and work up.
Love, Hurts.

Yep, those were already scheduled since we knew we had 28/34 for sure. Now that the lottery if over, they will start scheduling guys for the 4/13 picks.

With 4 picks in some advantageous positions, I hope that they do a super thorough and accurate job evaluating talent. I'm not over the moon with this draft, but there are a lot of intriguing prospects that could pan out quite well eventually. At the same time, I wouldn't be opposed to trading a pick or picks for something better that aligns with a better long term future. Just please no Knight like trades, and also no short term fixes that sacrifice the future for a slim chance at competing for a playoff spot.

Last year, 4, 13, and 28 would have landed the Suns Porzingis, Booker, and RJ Hunter

https://twitter.com/azcsports/status/733136292620427264 Don't think this was posted yet, but the Suns tabbed Jay Triano for associate head coach / lead assistant.

Triano had a run as head coach of the Raptors, right? Is he good? What is his coaching style, what are his strengths, etc.?
