This isn't the first time I wanted to draft an 18-year-old tall small forward named Bender. But Jonathan was off the board before we picked so we settled for Shawn Marion. And Bender didn't have much of a career.

I think I quite like Bledsoe at his price. I'd still like to move Knight though. After DeRozan got 28, I think Knight at 14 is quite the bargain. Or how about Solomon Hill at 13? I know, new cap, new reality, etc. But these legacy contracts now have higher value.

As for putting McD on notice... I'm not sure if that really does anything. I would think most of these guys who are GMs of middling teams know that their jobs are never secure until the team moves into relevance, so saying something to the effect of "show me results or else", doesn't that specifically push them into making shortsighted moves that we so much want to avoid?

I for one am really happy about the moves we've made this summer. The draft I'm happy about, though I have reservations on the actual talent, I like the chances we took, and I'm really happy we didn't get in on any of those 20+/year deals and got Dudley.

Good job, McD.

So true. When rumors flew that the Suns were talking with Hawks to acquire Millsap for future draft picks, I damn near had a heart attack. Glad Al Horford saved us from that jam.

We are still not at the cap floor yet, are we? I would think that there might be a few more small moves.

I think we are (or very close) with the 3 rookies and Dudley, even if we don't bring back Price or Leuer (I am doubting either will be back).

This article about Chandler/Len situation starts with a cap breakdown. We're about $11M from the cap floor which... is not calculated until the end of the season. Look for a very active trade deadline from the Suns if we're truly done signing people this Summer (and I hope we are.)

Leuer is team FOE now.

We should try to absorb a contract attached to a pick. We are entering Rebuild#2 of the McD era and we need as much chips as we can get while creating a healthy environment.

I have been away and didn't see that. Good for him on that contract.

Yeah, congrats dude. You showed a lot in the time you had last season. Not flashy but reliable on offense, but too overmatched to bang against the monsters.

Frankly, I was shocked by the money Leuer received. Don't think he'll prove to be worth it.

I wasnt, he was really good for us. Played hard, shot the 3, rebounded well. Everyone is overpaid now, but I think he'll perform inline w/him deal.

10M is basically the MLE, maybe a little higher. That seems very reasonable for him. The part I was surprised by was the 4 years. I wonder how much is guaranteed.

He's a brother in the Fratternal Order of Eagles?
He signed with the FetrOit pEstons?

Family Over Everything. I think he was just joking a bit, but that is the group the Morrii are at the center of.

Family over Everything. Something Markieff and Marcus started at Kansas . I think Thomas Robinson was a founding member also.

"Family Over Everything" is the Morris' succinct way of saying, "We really don't give a flying fuck how our behavior affects anyone who isn't related to us."

His highlight play for the Suns happened in preseason when he threw down a monster dunk over Boogie Cousins.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.
