Booker is going to be a star. Man, was that guy a blessing from the basketball gods.

Yes, so excited about him. It is really amazing to see his growth already from a 6th man at Kentucky to now.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Yes. So happy he didn't play much there.

Calipari did an interview on AZ Sports radio the other day and he sounded genuinely surprised about how well Booker is doing in the NBA.

This made me laugh.

Not trying to stir anything up. I really did quietly chuckle into my keyboard.

To be fair he also said he "didn't show much tonight" after saying he only watched the highlights.

Absolutely. We got a real steal, and exactly what we needed to run units where everybody else either has a score first mentality or is incapable of creating own offense. And since he actually plays defense, he can be used alongside Bledsoe, Knight or Booker.

I'll be the first to admit that you can't read much into one SL game. I will give him time. I want to see him succeed and will be really happy if he is a good NBA player. I have my fingers crossed that he'll turn into kind of a neo-Marion, which would be amazing for us.
I think maybe a hobo Amare is closer to his type.

Kenyon Martin? Super athlete, not a great rebounder, plays more of a SF than a PF game even though his size says he shouldnt.

Kenyon Martin was a pretty good player. If Chriss is Kenyon Martin with a better jump shot, I'd be happy.

Maybe if we look at the physical profile, although I am not completely convinced. Martin was a super energy role player and way stronger on both sides of the court. Meanwhile, for all the raving about Chriss' athleticism, what I see so far is a knack for jumping effortlessly but not too many other tools to be a force, besides hands. Also, as implied by Split, Martin didn't have a shot but Chriss is supposed to have a smooth touch.

That's a multiple allstar player, but I don't think we have that in our hands.

Your recollection of KMart is better than he actually he was. He was a 12/7 guy for his career who snuck into 1 all star game with 16/9 averages. We could definitely have that on our hands.
Love, Hurts.

I think he's saying a KMart with a better jump shot would be a multiple all star.
