That's a fine position to have. We'll see how these picks turn out. We disagree about Bledsoe and Knight. I believe my response to you re: Bryan Colangelo was valid on the merits, and did not amount to any sort of "treatment" of you as a poster.Indy wrote:Same here. I simply didn't care about winning the last six years is all. During the malaise years, we constantly griped that we didn't have a path to a championship. I think we've been making huge strides toward building a contender these last three years. I guess I get more out of looking ahead than I do from the present, generally. For those who don't tick like that, I suppose the last three years have been as bad as the previous three. What can ya do.
Re: NBA News: Offseason
I will say that I think Eric Bledsoe has a lot of talent. I love his work ethic. And his attitude towards the team seems to be great. His work in the community is great. I think he could be a beast if used just the right way. But the problem is has shown no ability to lead a team from the PG position. And although there are certainly instances of players getting much better after playing 6 seasons in the league, they are extremely rare. I think the first half of my post is why the FO really likes him, and I totally get it. We need guys like that on the team. But we also need those guys to be good for the team on the court. And that is where Eric hasn't shown himself to be the PG we need, in addition to the fact he has only played in 60% of the games for us due to injury (and the types of injuries that are likely to continue to bother him).INF wrote:I don't think it is good that Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight are still Phoenix Suns.

Posting from my phone and didn't get a chance to read through your response that yet. So I guess I will reserve judgement of this until then. I am still blown away that you view our last 3 years as phenomenal on the part of Ryan. I feel that is disingenuous as INF giving this year's draft an F.OE32 wrote:I believe my response to you re: Bryan Colangelo was valid on the merits, and did not amount to any sort of "treatment" of you as a poster.Indy wrote:Same here. Chill out people, let's be positive, that we have a full year ahead to probe us wrong.
And funny thing is, nothing has changed. Since 2010, the Suns claim to glory is a 48-win, 9th place finish. And yet people still get blasted for being negative.

I just re-read this thread. People get criticized just as much for being positive as they do for being negative on this board. I would actually say its more like 60-40 in negative posts. Which is fine. But I wouldn't call anything said in this thread as "getting blasted". Not sure where that came from.Superbone wrote:It's called balance, INF. Exactly. It seems like some people are not happy unless everybody is miserable. I tend to stay away from these people in real life. Sometimes this board is unbearable but I try to keep a thick skin and grin and bear it. So I'm definitely not going to back down from somebody that threatens to take a hiatus. My opinions have nothing to do with making people feel a certain way. If I challenge someone's positive opinion, it's because I disagree with them, not because I just want people to be miserable. I'm not sure what's the basis for that claim.Superbone wrote: Exactly. It seems like some people are not happy unless everybody is miserable. I tend to stay away from these people in real life. I'm not threatening anyone or anything. I'm simply saying, with the climate becoming what it is, it's probably best I take a break. I don't want this board to become filled with posts complaining about how others post. It's funny because I don't ever recall ever criticizing someone for being positive. Yet there are plenty that complain about my negativity. I engage people's opinions and discuss why I may or may not agree with them. If someone wants to tell me why I am wrong about Bender, Ulis, or Chriss, be my guest. But just griping just because my opinion is negative gets tiresome and silly.

One step forward, two steps backward. Absolutely brutal how much money they have invested in Allen Crabbe and Evan Turner.
https://twitter.com/WojVerticalNBA/status/752248509168906240 I hate how so many in sports think if they just spend a whole bunch of money it is "trying to win" or being committed to winning. If it isn't smart or worthwhile spending, it's worse than not spending at all.
