True, but tonight he contributed on defense and rebounding. Plus that last play.

No doubt, not complaining about his play. Just saying it'd be nice if our younger guys would get more minutes in lieu of winning.

Fun game.

Good to see Chandler still playing well. His presence on the court is big for the young guys, I think.
Good to see Booker looking comfortable in the offense. Only forced a few, but didn't look tentative like he has. The toe is back!
TJ's shot wasn't there, but he found his way to the line.
Booker and Warren combine for 20 free throws. That may be the best stat of the game. If those two can get some calls, we will be a different team.

Tucker and chandler were solid so fair play to them... Amazing what a pair of shoes that fit can do for someones game!

Len 1-4 from the field, Chandler 5-8. Chandler more effective on offense tonight.

Totally understand. It's a long season ... let's hope their turns will come.

Don't care that Tucker made that pass and had some decent defensive plays. I'm not sure Bender couldn't have done it. I'm ready to move on from him and from Knight. Like... tomorrow.

I don't think you put an untested 18-19 year old in that situation. That would be unwise coaching.

Was that a Portland play? Good either way just surprised me he was so open. I think the Ebled misdirection at half court was purdy sick.

On a side note it left way to much time on the clock.

It's a balance. You can't repeatedly lose night in and night out and expect morale to stay high and for guys to develop a winning mentality. As much as we'd love to see youth and continual losing, that creates a losing mentality where players are checking out and morale drops drastically.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Was basically the play Portland burned us with to force OT 2 nights ago.

I think people around here have sometimes lost their way. Yes, develop the young guys. But don't foster an environment where it becomes accepted to lose 5 or 6 games in a row with a win sprinkled in. Your valuable vets like Bledsoe and Chandler will alienate themselves from the young players and guys will stop listening to coach. You create a roster of Morris twins that do what they want without giving a damn about the rest of the team because we aren't going anywhere and losing is expected. You end up firing coach because the players aren't buying in and you continually start over at square one. It's all about balance and I expect people around here to understand and adopt that. Not just play the young guys all of the minutes simply because they need to develop and winning is irrelevant. Winning is ALWAYS relevant today. It's finding a nice balance to compliment it where the young guys are able to grow in a positive environment.

Couldn't agree more. We don't want to "tank" - intentionally losing when we could be competing to win. Knight is playing poorly, so he got his fewest minutes of the season. PJ played very good defense on Davis, so he got the time.

Hopefully we can trade them both before the season is out.

I'd like to see Ulis get more run. But I will be patient, hoping Watson, a former guard, will develop a feel on who to play when.

As for NO, I forgot what a clown act Stephenson is. He's competent on one series, then chucks an airball three on the next. And his mouth never closes.... I think he has a plate of worms on meth for brains.
