Suns News: Week 3 11/07 - 11/14
Looks like Booker hit the weights in the offseason. Was he this muscular last season?

Booker's ceiling keeps getting higher. Lately he's reminding me of James Harden.

Arizona Sports Kevin Zimmerman really nails, I think, all of our feelings over here on .net:
Success of Devin Booker, T.J. Warren coincides with the exposing of Suns’ flaws

Sunday night was a poor one for the Phoenix second unit, especially in context of where the Suns’ bench roles have been going since Watson’s announcement after an opening night blowout that the young players would play.
Knight, the man Watson called the most important player on the team, played 17 minutes, going 1-for-8 with four assists, a turnover and three personal fouls. Aside from Alex Len, the entire bench unit looked fairly untrustworthy enough for Watson to cut their minutes.
But on a team constructed and expected to lose its fair share of games, Watson put the extra minutes on his starters rather than on the young player who in brief stints have played with gusto, if not outright success.
The result: Booker played 45 minutes, lost his legs on offense late, and the Suns still lost. Warren played 39 minutes.
The lack of trust is concerning beyond Knight’s ongoing acclimation to the sixth man role.
It’s representative of missed opportunities to develop Tyler Ulis, Marquese Chriss and Dragan Bender, who also each bring a change-of-pace skill. The bench veterans like Knight, P.J. Tucker and Len don’t especially bring much different than their starting counterparts Bledsoe, Jared Dudley and Tyson Chandler.
Kind of takes away the notion that Arizona Sports is in the Suns pocketbooks. They've done a good job as of late with objective analysis and calling a spade a spade with all of the teams....Bledsoe is second on the team by taking 4.3 three-point attempts per game, but his hesitance makes him nearly useless as a spot-up shooter — he’s shooting 20 percent from deep anyhow. Even after his step-back game-winner this week, Portland’s C.J. McCollum put it well: “I don’t know what Bledsoe shot today from the field, but I’ll take that shot every day of the week.”

Too bad Arizona Sports only shows their "toughness" in the newspaper rather than when they do their weekly interview with Watson or during the post game interviews.
Its easy to be a bad ass behind a computer screen writing a newspaper or posting on a forum, its another to do it face to face when they have a chance and they have a chance every single week to do it but still pussy out.
Bruce Arians gets criticized 200x more than Watson does and he's like 10 ten times the coach that Watson is.

Anyways, it was a really good article that aligned with how a lot of us have felt. I guess Arizona Sports is a bunch of Homer schills on the radio and fraudulently tough in their articles, if I gather what you're saying properly? Doesn't take away from the fact that the article was a good opinion.UglyTruth wrote:Too bad Arizona Sports only shows their "toughness" in the newspaper rather than when they do their weekly interview with Watson or during the post game interviews.

I guess it makes sense though because I'm guessing Watson and McD all have sort of a under the table deal that they don't get asked any hard questions during the radio interviews or else McD and Watson will just stop doing them since their not obligated to do weekly radio interviews anyway.

One thing I'm looking for this week is Warren's scoring at SF, vs who plays PF when we go small. It seemed like Warren got a good 6 or so points on easy buckets when we played Bled-Knight-Book-Warren. Since Tucker has been getting the backup minutes at 4, Warren's scoring has gone from exceptional to pretty good. Can Warren adjust and get to the extra dudes in the lane when Tucker is out there? Will we go with Warren at the 4 at all?

Tyson Chandler passed up on opportunities to leave Phoenix
Posted By: Andre Key; Posted date: November 11, 2016
Phoenix Suns center Tyson Chandler is a believer in the future of the team.
There isn’t a night he won’t give his heart and soul for the team. Ironically he is considered the heart and soul of the Suns, at least according to coach Earl Watson.
Recently his mother passed away, which has forced him to miss some time away from the team, and Watson revealed surprising news that he was given the opportunity to be traded out of Arizona this summer, but declined to go.

any chance we can send knight and/or tucker to the pelicans? Their roster is awful besides Davis and they may look at short term moves to appease him given they are having another awful start to the season.

I doubt they'll do anything until they see how things look with Jrue Holiday backO_Gardino wrote:I don't know what the chances are, but I've been thinking along the same lines.Danimal wrote:any chance we can send knight and/or tucker to the pelicans? Philly needs a usable guard in the worst way. They might even be grateful for our discarded chucker trash.
