Omg. He is really good. Definitely doesn't need to be in college. I think I saw everything a PG needs to do in those highlights. Step backs, hesitations, outlet passes, drive and dish, drive and drop off, 3-pointers, steals, dunks. That kid is legit.

Those highlights are sexy, but the college 3-point line is stupidly close. Can't tell how their shooting will translate to the NBA.

Also, how many guys are we going to draft with "Mark___" names? Markieff, Marcus, Marquese, Markelle?

It's a valid concern, but he does so much else that I'm not worried about him being an elite shooter. I think he'll be a good shooter and maybe a great one. He does just about everything great, no weaknesses, lots of similarities to Brandon Roy, without the knee issues.

I'm not impressed when I see Markelle compared to a taller Steve Francis. He can be much better, imo. I like him too, but really like those players that make everyone better. Hopefully if he's in the Suns future, he will do that.

Interesting, I still don't see the Steve Francis comparison. Francis was like Marbury or a suped up Bledsoe. Fultz can score, but he looks to be a very willing passer with good vision. He had 16 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks on Sunday.

The thing I like about Markelle is that he trusted the system and didn't try to rush the process when he was in high school. He became a 5 star recruit 2 years after he was on sophomore on JV. He seems more willing to put his head down, do his work and get better.

Can someone explain the recruit system? What makes someone 5-star vs. 4 star? Is there some sort of actual scoring system or is this just a qualitative way to describe how good a player is? Thanks.

Honestly, I think it's just a scouting system by several sources over time. I don't think there is a qualitative scientific way of grading the player, totally subjective IMO. If you get to watch enough of the players, you will be able to separate them by talent in some way. Athleticism seems to weigh in a lot.
