And they also went down 20 with Tucker and Chandler.LazarusLong wrote:The Suns made their third-quarter run with Chandler, Len and Tucker on the floor.specialsauce wrote:We didn't lose this game on the offensive side. We lost because he gave up 120 points to the Nuggets. Tucker is so overrated on defense it's ridiculous. Especially at the 3. And chandler never runs back hard on D. He's got a permanent nice jog going.LazarusLong wrote:OK, normally I'd agree with you, but both played fairly well today.specialsauce wrote:Tucker and Chandler are going to end up playing 40 minutes each. This is a fireable offense to me with Watson. Not only is he not playing the young guys, but in this case the young guys are the players who will actually give us a better chance to win. Double negative.
He's got an unbreakable erection for Chandler and Tucker
Actually, Tucker had his best game of the season, scoring well and not be an offensive cypher that he often is.
Like I said earlier, it's not a unit I'd usually endorse, but it worked this game.
And Chriss was awful today, so there was nobody else to play the "3" spot.
Re: Game Day: Nuggets (6-10) @ Suns (5-12), Sun 11/27/16
I still don't understand why they don't let Chriss set some screens. It is always our center. We really don't do anything to help the rookies out there on the court. The coach just throws them in and thats that.
To be fair it is the same for almost all our players. All we do is iso. Our assist numbers are garbage.

I wonder who runs the farthest distance on the court per minute. I swear our offense does almost nothing out there. They just stand around watching Len run around setting screens.

Not really. By the time Tucker and Chandler came in during the second quarter, the Suns were already down 15. Most of the deficit was built on the backs of the second unit.specialsauce wrote:And they also went down 20 with Tucker and Chandler.LazarusLong wrote:The Suns made their third-quarter run with Chandler, Len and Tucker on the floor.specialsauce wrote:We didn't lose this game on the offensive side. 12452ft in 33.7 minutes = 369 ft/min TJ
12302ft in 32.3 minutes = 380 ft/min Bledsoe
12064ft in 33.3 minutes = 362 ft/min Booker
9656ft in 25.1 minutes = 385 ft/min Knight
9059ft in 24.9 minutes = 364 ft/min Dudley
8934ft in 25.9 minutes = 345 ft/min Chandler
8730ft in 23.6 minutes = 370 ft/min Len
I was curious so I tracked it down but the info is pretty useless.

Sauce: As I mentioned much earlier, usually I would agree with you 100% about Chandler and Tucker. This game was a weird exception.
I'd like to see a second unit without Knight. I think the group might share the ball more.
As a team, this is one of the worst passing groups in Suns history.

Oh, I'm with you. Those guys did play well, especially going into the fourth. I would just like to think we are better than the Nuggets with all those guys firing on all cylinders. We sure weren't tonight!LazarusLong wrote:Re: Vets playing, this game it was warranted, somewhat. Chriss, to be polite, had a bad game.O_Gardino wrote:It was a good game for Len and Booker.
It's frustrating watching the Vets rack up so many minutes so that we can almost keep up with Denver. Uhg.
But I'm strangely relieved that we didn't pull out a win.

Yeah, I feel like I'm in an alternate reality of SS. I could see in warm ups before the game that the Nuggets had the energy and the Suns didn't. I'm glad they fought back but they can't always be fighting an uphill battle. They need to learn to start with energy. Booker needs to start early too and not wait until the second half to turn it on.

It's about building sustainable success. Today was a once in a season type performance by Tucker. And yet we STILL lost. So shortsighted.

Chriss has shown some really bad hands so far this season. He gets the ball poked out nearly every time he gets the ball on a roll to the rim and when he tries his patented spin, he often loses it.

Booker (and the team, of course) needs TJ Warren back in the worst way. There is no other small forward threat on the team, so he was guarded by Wilson Chandler for most of the second half while the mighty Jameer Nelson was "guarding" Tucker. Blech!

Booker wasn't efficient at all when TJ Warren was healthy either.azsportsfan wrote:Booker (and the team, of course) needs TJ Warren back in the worst way. Booker's problems aren't his teammates...it's him. He just doesn't look good to start this season at all. One of the least efficient players in the entire league right now.
I really hope he turns this around.

I don't have any worries about Booker. He'll figure it out.
