Yeah, but he sucks because of his FT percentage. Didn't you know?

Claiming low FT percentage for a freshman guard might be one of the weakest arguments I've ever heard. As if he can't possibly improve once he starts playing basketball full-time.

He's still a year away if he stays healthy, but Payton Pritchard is a guy I think can do well in the league.

He owned Lonzo Ball for most of the Oregon/UCLA game and really stepped up his performance under the spotlight. He's a gritty player who actually reminds me a lot of a right-handed Dragic.

3. Phoenix Suns

Josh Jackson
Kansas
Freshman
Forward

The Suns are one of the worst defensive teams in the league, and Jackson happens to be the highest-ceiling defensive prospect in the draft.

His length, athleticism and motor allow him to guard three positions on the floor. Although he isn't an elite offensive player because of his inconsistent shooting, he's a terrific playmaker and slasher who excels in the open court. Most importantly, he's a high-character player who would immediately add toughness and grit on and off the court.

He'd be a great fit with the rest of the Suns' young players.

Odds of winning lottery: 15.6 percent

Projected record: 26-56
They have Fultz and Ball going 1 and 2 for those without insider.

I would love to get Josh Jackson, he's like everything that's good about PJ Tucker, only in a 6'8 athletic body. He's also a pretty capable ball handler and passer. He's got no jumpshot right now, but i think he fits in nicely at the 3 next to Booker.

I don't know that we can afford to add anyone that can't shoot to this team right now. Just a general statement.

Ya, the lack of a jump shot is concerning. But the rest of his game is so complete that it'd be hard to pass on him. We don't want another Kawhi Leonard scenario. Everyone passed on him because he couldn't shoot and now he's a top 5 player in the league. Is he the next Kawhi or is he the next Kidd-Gilchrist. I guess that's the question NBA teams will have to figure out.

He's not the best shooter, but his shot isn't even as close to as bad as MKG's. That being said, I want a top 2 pick and my preference is Lonzo Ball.

Our shooting percentages may look bad, but we're not devoid of shooters. Bledsoe can shoot. Booker can shoot. Bender/Chriss (whichever you see as our PF of the future) can shoot. We just don't have an offense that can get them good shots.

We already have a starting SF in Warren. Why draft another one, and especially one who can't shoot?

Talent is talent. If there is one thing you cant do when you have a high lottery pick is pick based on position. You pass on Wiggins if he's BPA when you have Warren? I dont.

Why pick a pg when the Suns have 3? Because it's an upgrade to make the Suns better.

I think Jackson will be a better basketball player than Warren, but there is no reason it needs to be warren vs Jackson. Once he adds some strength, he'll be able to play 2-4 and defend those positions at a high level. Which means you could easily play the two together.

Right now I see a top 7-9 in this draft and I think Jackson is in the top half of that. Sure, you can take Fultz or Ball if available, but right now I'd take Jackson over anyone else.

Fultz, Jackson, Ball, and Monk are in the top tier.
I think Giles, Tatum, and Ntilikina are wild cards right now, because of health and exposure.
Issac and Smith would be my other two possible top tier prospects.

I'd be stoked with anyone of Smith, Fultz, Ball, Tatum, or Jackson. Dont want Monk, 6'3" SGs do no thing for me. I really like Tatum, smooth, shoots well, rebounds, reminds me of Battier.
Love, Hurts.

We desperately need a star out of this draft. McDonough has been good at drafting solid starters but if we're ever even going to be halfway good again we need that home run player. Our Giannis, our KAT, etc. I don't know who that is because I haven't transitioned to watching much college basketball outside of U of A games.

Tatum is a better scorer and facilitator than Battier was. I can see the similarities though. I don't know if he's going to be a superstar, but I think he's going to be better than Battier was.

Nice video that shows a little of what Jackson can bring to the team. If I had to pick our teams top 4 weaknesses, they'd be ball movement, shooting, defense, and star power. I think Jackson can provide 3 of the 4.

I really like Harry Giles. He'd be perfect to take with a second lottery pick. If only we had some way of getting a second lottery pick in this terrific draft.

I didn't get to see him play, but he started tonight for the first time and put up some nice numbers. Duke kicked the crap out of Georgia Tech.
