Can't wait to see how my tech's the kids get tonight. Obviously, you can tell I'm a little weary of this team's behavior at this point. We're turning into the Clippers except we're terrible at basketball. Hopefully they come out and play hard and let their game do the talking.
I would expect Len to have to sit this one out due to leaving the sidelines after the shoving match last game. I would expect PJ to get all the back up center mins because it's Earl Watson and he loves him some PJ.

Bulls have 10 more wins than we do, but I would hate to have their roster. Bunch of grumpy aging vets who can't shoot. Not much discernable young talent. Stuck in the middle, not good enough to contend but not bad enough to get a high draft pick. Bleh. No thank you.

I don't think Len left the bench. I think he was checking into the game.

He was. You should have heard the Grizzlies announcers going on and on about how Len was going to get suspended.Shabazz wrote:I don't think Len left the bench. I think he was checking into the game.

I haven't heard that they were going to suspend him yet. Weren't they also going on and on about how inappropriate the Suns were being, even though Daniels started it?Superbone wrote:He was. Oh, yeah. They acted like the Grizzlies did nothing wrong and the Suns were a bunch of hooligans. Seriously, they thought the Grizzlies had zero culpability in the matter.In2ition wrote:I haven't heard that they were going to suspend him yet. It doesn't matter what he says. Talking trash should never lead to a fight/pushing match/whatever you want to call it. It is poor control that led to this, clearly on the part of the Suns. There is a reason we foul more than any team in the league, and have more techs than any team in the league. It isn't the other team's fault.Superbone wrote:Oh, yeah. Len officially suspended per Brightside.
I'd like to see more Alan Williams but I know better. PJ Tucker with 40 mins tonight.

They do have Jimmy Butler. They've got a couple OK pieces, like Bobby Portis, Paul Zipser, and Denzel Valentine, but for the most part I agree. They should pay ways with Rondo/Wade and get pieces that fit around Butler, who's a legitimate top 10-12 player in this league.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:Bulls have 10 more wins than we do, but I would hate to have their roster. Here's the thing, what kind of players do you put around Butler?Split T wrote:They do have Jimmy Butler. Re: Game Day: Bulls (26-27) @ Suns (16-37), Fri 2/10/17
I think you can be pretty flexible. Butler is pretty solid all around. I think you can build a team in multiple ways around him. Just need good talent, and preferably talent that doesn't need the ball in their hands. Wade and Rondo are at their best with the ball in their hands, which just takes the ball out of butler's hands.TheOriginalOriginal wrote:Here's the thing, what kind of players do you put around Butler?Split T wrote:They do have Jimmy Butler. Put him on Utah in place of Gordon Hayward. That would be a solid team around Butler.
Re: Game Day: Bulls (26-27) @ Suns (16-37), Fri 2/10/17
I think he's a complimentary piece like a Hayward, but Butler thinks he's a franchise guy like a LeBron or Steph. So you'd have to surround him with a bunch of guys willing to sacrifice so Butler can get his, and thats why I dont like him. Not that I dont think he's a good player, I just think, like Bledsoe that if he's your best player, youre not going anywhere as a team.Split T wrote:I think you can be pretty flexible. Hmm, I think you guys are underestimating Butler. He's much better than Bledsoe. He's not LeBron or Durant but he's the best of the tier 2 stars. I'd take him over Paul George or Hayward.
He's essentially the prime version of Paul Pierce

Watching Warriors/Grizz right now then gonna switch to this game afterward. The Warriors are just unfair.
