Alex Len suspended tonight for getting off the bench (Suns FR jokes that it was during the 2007 WCF hehe.) Ulis and Crhiss fined $15k each, while the instigator, Troy Daniels, goes unpunished

Didn't he just instigate by talking trash? Pretty sure that isn't against the league rules, unless you do it to a fan or an official.

Not against the rules. In fact I believe Suns FR is saying that Troy Daniels will receive the Legion of Honor instead. Lol. I've been working on my French but I'm still fairly terrible.

This one says Booker leaves the scuffle without a scratch. No suspension. It's too strong!
I don't like the whole leaving the bench rule is an automatic suspension. Obviously we've been negatively affected by it in the past, but there needs to be some judgement involved. From the videos I saw, Len simply got between Chriss and the two grizzlies who were coming at him. The rule should be if you leave the bench and do anything to escalate the manner, you're suspended. Although, that gives everyone permission to come on the court, which is exactly what the league doesn't want. I guess players, even if they are checking in, need to learn to just let the security handle it.
I don't like the rule if you are practically on the court at the scorers table checking in. I don't think that should be the same rule as the bench.

Phoenix Suns center Alex Len has been suspended one game without pay for leaving the bench and entering the court during an altercation, the NBA announced today.
Suns rookies Tyler Ulis and Marquese Chriss and Memphis Grizzlies guard Troy Daniels have each been fined $15,000 for their roles in the altercation, which took place in the fourth quarter of the Grizzlies' 110-91 win over the Suns on Wednesday.
Len is out tonight. At least Troy Daniels did get fined as well.
The Suns are the shit. That means they're good, right?
