Phoenix Suns - The art of taking a punch.
Re: Suns News: Week 16 2/6-2/12
Or he might pass on them, draft Jackson and keep Bledsoe.Cap wrote:If we end up with Fultz or Ball, I imagine we'll trade Bledsoe then, especially if we can't move Knight, which we probably can't.

Denver would say no.Split T wrote:Who says no:
Phoenix out: Bledsoe and Tucker
Phoenix in: Rondo, Valentine, Murray, Kings Top 10 protected 2017 1st
Denver in: Bledsoe
Denver out: Gallinari, Murray
Chicago in: Gallinari, Tucker
Chicago out: Rondo, Valentine, Kings top 10 protected 2017 1st
I'm sure Denver would rather move Mudiay, but I have no interest in him.
They see Murray like we did Booker in Booker's rookie season.
That kid's gonna be good once they can get him consistent playing time.

This is probably why the basketball gods will give us the #3 pick.Cap wrote:If we end up with Fultz or Ball, I imagine we'll trade Bledsoe then, especially if we can't move Knight, which we probably can't.

I won't complain, since there are three prospects we really like (the aforementioned along with Jackson). I'm expecting the basketball gods to give us #4.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:This is probably why the basketball gods will give us the #3 pick.Cap wrote:If we end up with Fultz or Ball, I imagine we'll trade Bledsoe then, especially if we can't move Knight, which we probably can't.

What the hell did Phoenix ever do to upset the basketball gods so grievously?Cap wrote:I won't complain, since there are three prospects we really like (the aforementioned along with Jackson). So freaking delusional. Ryan kills me.“I’m not obviously comparing Eric to Steve — that would be unfair to him when you’re talking about a two-time MVP and Hall of Famer — but he has improved a lot and if you look at guys who are in their 30s, around 30, like Chris Paul, like Mike Conley, those guys kind of keep getting better every year, and Eric looks like he’s on that path.
“We never say never, we never put anybody totally off limits, but I think it’s very unlikely we trade Eric and more likely we try to add guys in that age range, from 19 to 27, to play with Eric and Devin Booker.”
Re: Suns News: Week 16 2/6-2/12
Yeah, when I heard that, I was really surprised. Nash was an anomally. What makes him think that Bledsoe is going to be like that. My guess is he just hit his peak and he might plateau there for a while but then it's all downhill from there.INFORMER wrote:So freaking delusional. I hope Ryan's saving his money cause he's never ever getting a job in any team's front office after he gets fired here.INFORMER wrote:So freaking delusional. I can see Houston ripping McD off in a potential Bledsoe trade similar to IT.Cap wrote:If we end up with Fultz or Ball, I imagine we'll trade Bledsoe then, especially if we can't move Knight, which we probably can't.
Bledsoe/Harden would actually make an excellent pairing

My first thoughts as well; his comment made me sick to my stomach (metaphorically, though trending towards the literal).INFORMER wrote:So freaking delusional. No way. Ryan would probably demand 8 first round picks and a superstar for Bledsoe. They're joined at the hip. He is Ryan's sun, moon, and stars.UglyTruth wrote:I can see Houston ripping McD off in a potential Bledsoe trade similar to IT.Cap wrote:If we end up with Fultz or Ball, I imagine we'll trade Bledsoe then, especially if we can't move Knight, which we probably can't.

That's on McDonough that he put all his fortunes on Bledsoe. As Bledsoe goes, so goes McDonough. How many more years are we going to accept being out of the playoffs?TheOriginalOriginal wrote:INF gets it. Bledsoe will forever be his golden goose.INFORMER wrote:No way. I hope as many as we have to, if the alternative is making short-sighted moves to pursue a lower seed.Superbone wrote:That's on McDonough that he put all his fortunes on Bledsoe. Don't the Suns have like the 3rd longest playoff drought in the entire NBA?Superbone wrote:That's on McDonough that he put all his fortunes on Bledsoe. As Bledsoe goes, so goes McDonough. Re: Suns News: Week 16 2/6-2/12
First, I am not sure when Ryan's contract is up. Is it before or after the draft? Also, I can see Ryan keeping Bledsoe even if we draft one of those PGs.Cap wrote:If we end up with Fultz or Ball, I imagine we'll trade Bledsoe then, especially if we can't move Knight, which we probably can't.

I don't have a guaranteed multi-year, million dollar contract. And I didn't make millions on guaranteed contracts the last 13 years. He has much more security in his life than I have in mine.
