Warriors gonna win that trade by a landslide.
Yep. Minnesota is trading for the right to overpay Klay Thompson. And Flip Saunders is going about the Love trade with the thinking, "What trade offer will help me win the most games in the 2014-15 season." Idiot.

At least they have sense enough to pawn off K-Mart.

The colors are a bit extreme, but I prefer that to some of the more bland jerseys in the league.

Still won't get it done, IMHO. Bogut won't stay healthy and I don't think a team can contend with K-Mart as a starter. As a sixth man? Sure.

Harrison Barnes could/should start. Which brings up another point: how on earth, if you're Minnesota, do you not demand for Harrison Barnes as well?! Maybe they feel he would be redundant with the other Shabazz there.

I'm not a Barnes fan, so I'd gladly unload him in the Love deal. He's one of those guys who just seem like they dont know how to properly play the game.

T-Wolves have now made their desires clear in the Golden State talks. Involved parties leaning heavily towards idea that it happens.

Our fate was sealed once Flip Saunders hired himself.

I think Love would have cost us too much especially without a guarantee that he would resign. He would have made us a shoe in for the playoffs but not a contender. From a nine seed to probably at the highest only a 5 seed. It would be tough to get home court even with him on our team.

I think we can manage to pull out a playoff spot this year if things go as planned.

I like Klay Thompson...alot. But that deal isn't as good as boston's....not sure what flipper is thinking
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

It would have been fun though. We'll see how GSW fares with him if it goes through.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

I'm insanely jealous of a starting lineup that has Curry, Love, Bogut and Iggy. Those 4 complement each other really, really well and are all unselfish players and fantastic passers. Bogut's health and Kerr's coaching chops are the wild cards, but if those check out, that's a contender.

The top of the west just getting stronger. That lineup would be a lot of fun to watch. We might end up having trouble getting into the playoffs. If Memphis or Dallas improve it will be rough. Thankfully there has been talk about Melo to Dallas. That alone should ensure we get a playoff spot. :)

The same Dallas that pushed the Spurs to 7? Them adding Melo wouldn't be a good thing for us. He certainly wasn't the reason the Knicks were flat out awful last year.

So apparently the Celtics have a taker for Jeff Green if they can't trade for Love. Ainge is said to be looking at Rondo trades too. They have offered the #6, 17, Olynyk and one of their future picks but the Wolves have rejected it.

The Celtics still have options though. They can add more picks, especially from the Nets, and if what Minni wants is win now pieces maybe they can get it done with a third team looking for future assets.

Despite what may seem there are not that many teams in full rebuild mode, but Orlando, 76rs, Jazz or maybe Atlanta could get involved.

Afflalo, Millsap, plus Jeff Green and change would be a good return for the Wolves if competing is the goal. Boston can afford to pay in picks-youth to acquire them and I am sure Ainge couldn't care less about where the assets he sends out end up landing.

Poor Flip is clueless anyway.

I just hope it is not the Suns who want Green. Despite the former connection, I am not too nervous since McD supposedly loves Hayward so I don't see him trading for a SF this early in the offseason.

Just to give the Suns draft stress a rest, how about this:

Boston gets: Love, Kevin Martin.
Boston trades: #6, #17, 2015 pick, Sullinger, Jeff Green, Keith Bogans, Joel Anthony.

Wolves trade: Kevin Love, Kevin Martin.
Wolves get: Paul Millsap, Arron Afflalo, Jeff Green.

Atlanta trades: Paul Millsap.
Atlanta gets: #12, Sullinger, #17.

Orlando trades: Afflalo, #12, 2015 pick.
Orlando gets: #6, Keith Bogans (5M unguaranteed), Joel Anthony.

that's a lopsided trade against minny. kevin martin easily replaces klay's outside shooting at a more reasonable contract, the way vet minimum collison was an adequate replacement for bledsoe. klay's not somebody you try to build a team around.

You don't build around Klay, but you certainly can build with him. He is bound to be overpaid, but that's the way it is in the NBA, especially for small franchises like the Wolves if they get him. He is decent defensively despite what INF says and although pretty unidimensional on offense, the one thing he does, catch and shooting, he does at an alite level. Klay getting passes from Rubio off screens is a very interesting scenario.

Not enough for Love anyway.
