Ha, that was pretty good and I knew all the answers!
Heh, funny idea. And I didn't know any of them although I thought I knew the last one.

In 29 minutes tonight Julius Randle shot 13 of 17 for 32 points, but finished with a -20 +/- for the game as the Lakers lost by 39.

+\- is the score difference during the time a given player is on the floor, so it means, that the Lakers lost by 20 points the 29 minutes he played. Not so bad considering the final score.

I know. Bobster was commenting on the fact that, if a guy can be that efficient on offense, how could his team have played *that* poorly during his time on the floor. And I made a joke about how awful his defense might have been.

Bad defense will beat good offense every time.

Anyone think New Orleans has a chance to nab that 8th seed? They are 3.5 games out with only 11 to play, but they do have 3 games left against Denver. If they win all 3 and go 6-2 in their other 8, 39-43 might get them in. Still have to watch out for Portland though. They are only a half game behind Denver.

Lakers true to form again tonight - trailing the Clips by 28 at halftime.

You're probably right, but if they can win the 3 Denver games, they've also got winnable games against Sacramento, Chicago,Dallas, LAL and Portland. They have no room for error, they'd probably have to win all those games, but they could make it interesting. There other three games are Houston, Utah, and golden state. Winning one of those would help.

Pels have won 5 out of their last 6, and seem to be figuring it out. They just beat the Blazers, Rockets, Wolves, and Grizz. They have their work cut out for them, but they could do it.

This is an interesting article on ESPN.com about how players are learning to party less during the season, and how it's improving their play and health:

I liked the article on the secret addiction of NBA players to pre-game PB&J sandwiches.
"There are 3 rules I live by: never get less than 12 hours sleep, never play cards with a guy with the same first name as a city & never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Everything else is cream cheese."

The only thing that makes that sandwich better is to toast the bread, and add some banana slices. So good. =)

Kills me that the players need rest and take games off, but go out after games and party until 4am. Not a good look.

Not sure what they do at parties, but I don't think they physically exert themselves much. At least not anywhere close to an NBA game with warm-ups and possibly travel involved.

Drinking and spending time with women/men isn't really a drain like playing an NBA game, right?

I was a bit too slow.
