Here's a place to discuss the NBA draft lottery which will take place on May 16th. I mostly wanted a place to talk about possible results based on the cool website that In2 turned us on to:
We're currently second worst in the league but that could still change for the worse. My biggest scare is that even if we stay second, we get knocked back to 4th. I saw that too many times when simming the lottery on this site. The worst sim I saw was the Lakers getting the number one and us getting knocked back to 5th!
My favorite outcome have us winning either 1st or 2nd, with Orl or NY getting the other one, then Brooklyn or whatever, so LA lands 4th, giving Philly the 4th and 5th. I'm not dealing our pick, but with Philly having TWO top five picks and still out of the Ball/Fultz sweepstakes, given how desperately they need a new PG, they could be open to make a deal around one of their picks and Bledsoe.
The key is to have another PG-starving team climbing with us in the top 2, so there is no doubt Ball and Fultz will be out of the board. But if Boston is there, they could easily swap with Philly because having Thomas is really working for them right now, and could walk away with Jackson or Tatum, and a pound of flesh from Philly.
I had to stop doing it.
Out of 20 times we ended up picking 4th on 13!!!!! Occasions!!

I ran that web site several times and was frightened by how frequently I seemed to come up with the #4 pick. Pleeeeease basketball gods, give us a top-2 pick!
Seriously, it's crazy how often 4 comes up for the Suns. And it feels like the Lakers get into the top 3 way more than normal.

I tried the lottery generator on ESPN and the Lakers won the lottery 5 times and #2 twice out of 10 tries.
