Suns News: The Offseason
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
We needed more questions

I have no clue who this guy is and he probably doesn't know jack but if we traded young guys for Love I would be livid.
I could just see them trotting out Bledsoe and Love like it is some great combo.

Moving #4 for Love would be an awful move when we've invested so heavily at PF already. I'm a big Love fan but this isn't 3 years ago.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
That's not happening. GM Lebron wouldn't sign off on that anyway, he wants to win NOW not wait on Tatum or Jackson. I can see maye a Bledsoe for Love swap if Lonzo fell to Phoenix or we drafted Fox. GM Lebron would love to play with Eric.carey wrote:Moving #4 for Love would be an awful move when we've invested so heavily at PF already. I'm a big Love fan but this isn't 3 years ago.
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

The scenario was #4 to Indiana and PG to Cleveland.Sunsfan4life wrote:That's not happening. GM Lebron wouldn't sign off on that anyway, he wants to win NOW not wait on Tatum or Jackson. That same guy has another tweet mentioning #4 was never in play. Says Bledsoe/Knight would be the moving pieces. Can't see why we would move bled and bring in love. I think that guy is just guessing.

Simmons is throwing out a three team trade with Bledsoe, Chriss, and Bender going out for Kevin Love. I nearly threw up at the thought of that deal.

Its crazy how much less I value Simmon's opinion as time passes.Flagrant Fowl wrote:Simmons is throwing out a three team trade with Bledsoe, Chriss, and Bender going out for Kevin Love. I nearly threw up at the thought of that deal.

Yep, would have loved pairing him with Dragic back in the day but I'm not interested now.carey wrote:Moving #4 for Love would be an awful move when we've invested so heavily at PF already. I'm a big Love fan but this isn't 3 years ago.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Especially because Millsap might soon be available.Superbone wrote:Yep, would have loved pairing him with Dragic back in the day but I'm not interested now.carey wrote:Moving #4 for Love would be an awful move when we've invested so heavily at PF already. Re: Suns News: The Offseason
I wasn't actually being serious--I was interested in getting Milsap several years ago, but would not really be interested now. It seemed to fit with Simmon's belief that we wanted Love.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Simmons is fun to listen to in terms of just talking about games that have just recently happened, like a podcast after a Finals game or playoff series. But I really hate his fake trade proposals. It's worthless content; he just makes something up and then tweets it out. What is the point? It isn't based on any knowledge of actual team plans or things they are discussing; it's basically just the equivalent of some random guy on a message board making things up, but he has millions of listeners.jonh wrote:Its crazy how much less I value Simmon's opinion as time passes.Flagrant Fowl wrote:Simmons is throwing out a three team trade with Bledsoe, Chriss, and Bender going out for Kevin Love. I also hate whenever he tries to talk about the Celtics in terms of trades or free agent signings. He thinks Boston deserves to fleece every team in every trade, and to get every free agent. He thinks Durant should have gone there, for example. Ridiculous.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Bill Simmons is worthless content. I wish him and Screamin A would float away in a blimp never to return to my television ever.
Love, Hurts.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
I honestly never got the Simmons hype. Never liked him, never listened to him, never thought he was providing any real insight. I guess he was a fanboy who struck a chord as the "every man" with his humor and take on sports.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
I used to like his columns back in the day and I liked his Big Book of Basketball. But he works better outside of the mainstream where he's not expected to provide any real insight but just gets by on his humour, love of the game and dissing of silly GM moves. Since he got onto the telecasts and became a brand in and of himself, I've pretty much lost interest.ShelC wrote:I honestly never got the Simmons hype. I don't see how Butler fits in here.
Re: Suns News: The Offseason
I mean if we want to fight with the jazz for the fourth seed, we could trade for butler and sign Millsap. Bled/Booker/Butler/Millsap/Chandler
That's a 50-55 win team, but not beating the warriors.

Re: Suns News: The Offseason
Who/what are we trading for Butler? The 4 pick?
So are we rebuilding? "Contending" with vets like we tried last year? And are we winning 50-55 games with Earl as our coach?
EDIT: Stein is saying we're trying to get involved in a Bulls-Cavs deal to help facilitate Butler to the Cavs. McD is working the phones for sure. Seems to want to make some kind of deal with all the talk of us getting involved in these Cavs/Celtics/Lakers trade discussions.
