Random:
If I were Orlando I'd be after Monk.
The more I see Isaac the more I like (I see some KG in him). Minni would kill it with this pick.

Jackson moves very fast but I don't think he's Russian. (Nor dragging for that matter.)carey wrote:I thought Bender was supposed to be our AK47! I found this interesting in the DX comparison article:
Here's where I think I'm at now with guys that will be available (at least 2 of the 3 will be available):
1. Tatum
2. Jackson
3. Isaac
From everything I've read, I thought Jackson was the safer pick between him and Isaac?Jackson may not be as safe as guys like Tatum or Isaac, but if he can be a passable shooter, and continue to channel his emotion in a positive way, he could be one of the best prospects to come out of this draft. - Source: http://www.draftexpress.com/article/com ... saac-6062/ ©DraftExpress

More realistic ceilings are Butler/Iggy for Jackson and I'm not really sure for Isaac. He's a little more unique, maybe something like Ibaka/Odom
Is it for Jackson or Isaac? I guess both can make some sense, moreso for Isaac though, similar size and ability to defend. I don't think Jackson will be able to defend bigs like ak-47 and Isaac did and will do.
Listening to Bill Simmons and Kevin O'Connor podcast today, they talk about Isaac as a superstar role player. Probably not ever going to be your best or second best player, but still very valuable. Marion/AK-47 type impact.

I think Minny should take Monk as well if he's there.

Doesn't that sound like Bender to you? Can a team succeed with 2 of them?Split T wrote:

Everyone is just worried about his shot. If it's not any good, he's Corey Brewer/MKG with some handles.Superbone wrote:I found this interesting in the DX comparison article:

Isaac is thought of to be risky because he didn't handle the ball much and create much offense, so if you're projecting him as a ball handler/creator, that's a little risky. He should pretty safely be a good rebounder/defender who stretches the floor though.
I'm happy with either Jackson or Isaac, but Isaac intrigues me just a little more. I like the fit of Jackson better alongside Booker, I think Isaac kinda buries Bender on the bench, but if Isaac has more projectability in his ball handling/shot creation, he could be special.

Ya, definitely some overlap there. I think Bender has more offensive IQ, but I like Isaac better defensively. And I believe in Isaac's shot more than Bender. If they both reach their potential, I think there is room. The problem would be Bender getting buried on the depth chart.carey wrote:Doesn't that sound like Bender to you? If we draft Isaac, Bender might need to bulk up and try to be a Jokic like player at the 5. Or hope Isaac can play the 3 full time.

I think that's where the negotiation has to start, but there would still be some deal breakers for me. Things like taking on Noah's contract and giving up several young assets and/or picks. The price can still be too high even without including Booker.Superbone wrote:https://twitter.com/ValleyoftheSuns/status/877662294653759488 Uh..., yeah. Talk about a no brainer.

i don't know if I'm in the minority here but I really hope Bender doesn't get buried again. I was really bummed he got injured and missed out on the youngsters playing time post all star break because his playing time and dnp streaks early in the season was not cool. I just think it's more a comfort n confidence thing than not having the tools

Bender's shot is really pretty. It's also a quick trigger. It's going to start going in.Split T wrote:Ya, definitely some overlap there. Hold on a second. I'm not ruling out Fox either if we're willing to move Bledsoe. In fact, the more I read about Fox, the more I like him. Some are saying he has a chance to be special. How funny would it be if we took yet another Kentucky guard?Superbone wrote:Here's where I think I'm at now with guys that will be available (at least 2 of the 3 will be available):

Less than 24 hours until draft. I don't know if I'll be able to work tomorrow. I might have to take off early.

You are right to be worried. If we draft Jackson or Tatum and get a vet power foward Bender will be buried. It is amazing that the local media has just given Watson a pass for the way he split minutes between Chriss and Bender last season. Chriss was basically allowed to play until he fouled out. Meanwhile Bender was pulled early even if playing well.bajanguy008 wrote:i don't know if I'm in the minority here but I really hope Bender doesn't get buried again. I have a bad feeling that the Spurs are going to get Isaac and turn him into a stud.

Where is this Draymond Green stuff coming from? I don't think he is anything like Draymond.ShelC wrote:Semi scares me as the wrong kind of tweener. Re: 2017 Suns NBA Draft (4th, 32nd, 54th)
It could be Isaac. I think it's Fox though. BTW, I know Isaac didn't drive much to the hoop or handle the ball, but he was a pg early in high school prior to a big growth spurt. Also, looking at his hs work, he took people off the dribble, so he can do it. Could have been held back a bit at FSU.Indy wrote:I have a bad feeling that the Spurs are going to get Isaac and turn him into a stud.

I think it's a bit of the undersized 4 with some outside shooting skills that people make the leap to Draymond.INFORMER wrote:Where is this Draymond Green stuff coming from?
