It could be Isaac. I think it's Fox though. BTW, I know Isaac didn't drive much to the hoop or handle the ball, but he was a pg early in high school prior to a big growth spurt. Also, looking at his hs work, he took people off the dribble, so he can do it. Could have been held back a bit at FSU.
Didn't they basically split the minutes equally among everyone there?
That, I'm unaware of. Interesting if that's the case. Not hugely impressed with Leonard Hamilton's coaching. Not a hater, but not a fan either.
Can't remember where I read it or maybe was a video but the person was saying that Isaac was indeed held back because they were pushing Dwayne Bacon for his senior year. In the two tourney games I watched Bacon sure was getting up the shots

I am good with giving up so much to get him.

I would give up anything on our team not named Booker for Porzingis.

I'd have a hard time giving up both Bender AND Chriss, and I'd prefer to give up Bender, but would do either of them + Bledsoe if they want + #4

There is something to like and dislike about both.

Tatum is a shot-maker, but I worry about what else he can bring to the table at the pro level. I question his toughness.

Issac looks more like a novelty than a legit prospect. He has above average handle, seems to have good awareness on the offensive end, but I have doubts that it will ever add up to anything substantial at the pro level.

I wouldn't be upset with either, but I can't say either one moves the needle for me.
Thanks. And where would Jackson fit in there?
I think Josh Jackson is the superior talent to both of them, but his character issues and being from Kansas scare me.
Ha ha! Kansas because of possible FOE connections? :P

Oh me also it's just there can only be two outcomes tomorrow for me. We gave up alot but did get him, Knicks were really being ridiculous in their demand. If he actually gets traded and it isn't us that's gonna really suck

Hypothetically, suppose you heard that the Suns had traded Booker for Porzingis. But we didn't give up our #4 pick. Who would you want the Suns to take at #4 then?

The more I see Isaac the more I like (I see some KG in him). Minni would kill it with this pick.

Listening to Bill Simmons and Kevin O'Connor podcast today, they talk about Isaac as a superstar role player. Probably not ever going to be your best or second best player, but still very valuable. Marion/AK-47 type impact.
Doesn't that sound like Bender to you? Can a team succeed with 2 of them?
Yes. A team needs 6ish super role players and 3ish stars. :)

If Knicks main reason for top 4 is to get Josh , the Celtics being at 3 still makes me nervous in terms of packages to offer

I would swing big for the fences and try to land both Ntilikina and Monk. I think they would pair well with each other and KP. In that situation, I would try really hard to move both Bledsoe and one of Chriss or Bender. Chriss, preferably.

Part of what's fun about this draft is that all of the players have interesting flaws. Aside from Fultz, they all need to find the right home to thrive. There are a lot of teams that just should not take Monk, but in a situation where he could be PG on D and SG on O, he could be sooo good.

Ntilikina / Ulis
Monk / Barbosa
Warren / Jones Jr.
Porzingis / Bender / Dudley
Len /Chandler / Williams

Sort of. It seems, more and more, that Bill Self brings in guys with issues. Chalmers, Morris Twins, Josh Selby, Jackson.

Can you imagine playing Booker after we traded him? He would score 80 points a game on us.

Hey, TOO. I just watched the NBA TV mock draft and you'll be glad to know they picked Josh Jackson third and have the Suns taking Tatum fourth. Everything I read points to the Celtics taking Tatum. But then I think about how Ainge likes to deceive everybody. So, maybe he is taking Jackson.

I can only hope, but the more we sit here and wait, the less I think we actually pick at 4 tomorrow.

My final thoughts:

Jonathan Isaac - I'm leaning towards selecting Isaac. He might bury bender on the bench a little but I think Isaac is a superior prospect and he's shown enough shot creation that he could potentially be a 3 on offense. Defensively he might be able to defend every position. I don't worry about him there.

Josh Jackson - I'd be very happy with Jackson, his skill set compliments booker very well and he's a great prospect regardless of fit. His shot isn't pretty, but it went in. He was 3 or 4 percentage points higher from 3 than Tatum and Isaac. That should count for something. He'll be able to defend 1-3. Like Isaac, I don't worry there.

Jayson Tatum - I think he'll be a very good player but I just don't think he helps us that much. He's an ISO scorer and we've already got one in Booker. If he did some other things I'd feel better about it, but he hasn't shot well from 3, he doesn't pass enough, and he doesn't defend enough. He could very well develop those skills in the future, but as of now I'm passing on him.

De'Aaron Fox - Love his personality and his fire. He's a great athlete and a great competitor. His shot isn't great right now, but I think it could come around. I wouldn't draft him if we're keeping Bledsoe though. I just think it would be a disservice to him. If we have a trade lined up for Bled, I'd be all for drafting fox. I think a fox-booker back court could be great.

I'd pass on all 4 if we can truly land KP though. I'd offer #4, Bender and Warren. I'd be willing to include some combination of more future picks and Eric Bledsoe as well. I'd like to keep Chriss, but if it came down to it, I'd let him go as well. I think it's all pretty irrelevant though, if KP is really available, Boston has the first shot and better assets, I can't imagine them passing him up. They'd have to choose Butler over KP and that doesn't seem likely.

My lotto mock draft:

Philly- Fultz
LA - Ball
Boston - Jackson(I think the pick gets traded)
Phx - Isaac
Sac - Fox
Orl - Tatum
Minny - Monk
NY - Ntilikina
Dal - Smith
Sac - Markkanen
Cha - Mitchell
Det - Collins
Den - Anunoby
Mia - Giles
