Bulls at 7 just added LaVine who's kinda similar so they chose a big who can shoot.

I think Knicks could have taken him, although I like Frank

Dallas wanted a PG

Sacramento could have taken him and put him next to fox again, but they already have hield.

Portland wasn't taking him with Lillard and McCollum on the roster.

So I guess just no real fit. NY probably made the most sense.

Any opinions on why Ivan Rabb went so low? I've never heard anything bad about him, except that he didn't dominate as much as he hoped this year. He seems like a solid rotation player and sometimes starter to me.

Didn't really improve on his freshman year. I'm not sure he's ever an NBA player. We'll see, I didn't like him last year and mostly ignored him this year.

Any word on us signing undrafted FAs? I know a couple of teams have signed some guys but haven't seen anything about us. Our roster is pretty full tho so I'm not expecting to see much and I doubt our SL team will produce any real gems.

Are we trying to position the notion that we are keeping Jackson?

The locals should know better, but I don't recall so much welcoming SO SOON for past selections (D-Backs pitching, this video). Or maybe this new social media times, make it more visible to the far and away fan.

You'll know if he signs his contract within the week.

They wouldn't do all they've already done if they didn't plan on keeping him.

Wow, they don't waste any time getting these guys out in the community.

Jackson just got here on Friday and he's already done a bunch of interviews, community service, and threw out the first pitch at a DBacks game.

He'd probably prefer you forget the pitch.

True! Not happening though. You can't unsee that.

I hope it doesn't shake his confidence. ;)

It's pretty much a known fact that if you can't throw a baseball, you'll never be a good jumpshooter.

Actually funny you should say this. As probably common knowledge by now, I'm from the Caribbean and in my visits to the states "NY" I have never been to baseball, held or even seen one but every time I see athletes/celebs make a mess of the pitch I just assume it has to be harder than it looks lol. I get everyone can't throw a tight spiral with a football but the baseball thing always puzzles me

Not every kid grows up throwing a baseball and playing catch with their dad (or mom).

Yeah, beyond the US south border, it's easy to get puzzled on how it is posible that someone is unable to catch and/or kick straight a simple soccer ball.

Or kick the soccer ball with the desired curve...

Being of japanese descent, I played some baseball when I was a child.
Batting the ball is way, way easier for me to this day than pitching!

How popular is baseball around Brazil? I do know that from south Mexico to Venezuela is a great draw.

I was so fast on my youth, that just connecting the ball was almost an automatic hit, a regular hit became a double or triple and after that, a stealed base waiting to happen, but at .250, baseball was not meant to be for me. Baseball and Football were beyond me, just TV sports, but a first selection player in soccer and basketball on my neighborhood and around. Sadly, here in Mexico, only uber high performance athletes gets scholarships and rewards, so my above average athleticism went wasted. You can't work your way up trough sports, wich deny us as a country, both better athletes and human beings. For all the deserved crap the NCAA gets, at least has provided an estructured way to work your way up either from a middle class home, or the depths of the 'hood.
