Kind of a bummer, I dont think Roberson was better, but maybe I'm biased.

I think Chris Paul is getting by on reputation alone at this point too.

Agreed

Interesting, fair enough well at least Devin agrees with me :)

No Avery Bradley all-defense?! On the behalf of the players... he deserves it!

When I think CP, I don't think about the defensive end at all. I didn't even know he was known to be a good defender.

When was the last time ROY was a second round pick?
Never happened, but Woody Sauldsberry won it as an 8th round pick (60th overall) in 1958.

Aside from Sauldsberry, the lowest pick to win it was 1988 ROY Mark Jackson (18th pick).

ETA: Correction. Don Meineke, 12 pick of the 1952 draft, was a second rounder and won ROY.
You better hit up Haller:

Rookie of the Year – Malcolm Brogdon, Milwaukee. Philadelphia center Joel Embiid was the league’s best rookie, but he played in just 31 games because of injury. That’s not enough. Philly’s Dario Saric put up strong numbers (12.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg), but Brogdon (10.2 ppg, 4.2 apg, 40.4 percent from 3-point range) played a significant role on a playoff team. That should be enough to make him the lowest-drafted rookie (36th) to win the award in league history.

He might be talking about since the ABA and NBA joined to form the current NBA.

I want to know who picked Gobert to be second team, and who they said was a better defensive center. It clearly wasn't AD because he didn't get any first place votes.

What a shitty rookie class that is, when the 36th pick could possibly win RotY with 10 ppg / 4 apg.

That's the class when we traded up to get an extra lottery guy.

That "extra" guy did pretty well and has a lot of promise. Are you complaining?

Willis Reed was a second round pick in 1965 and was ROY. That was after two territorial picks and 7 other first round choices.

At the cost of two second-rounders and the rights to Bogdan Bogdanovic. BFD.
