Yes. ;)

Absolutely hate the Bogdanovic pick (should've gone for Anderson) and Ennis makes very little sense as a potential replacement for Bledsoe, IMO.

Love the T.J. Warren pick and, with Frye gone, can even warm a bit to the Alec Brown pick (though I was hoping we'd go after Josh McRoberts in FA), but the draft overall, with no trades, was fair-to-middling, IMO.

I'm just catching up on what's gone down after being out during the draft. I like the Warren and BB picks and the fact we used all three. Ennis is a slight head scratcher unless Bledsoe is gone (which given how much they like Goodwin seems likely). It will be interesting to see what if anything they get for Bledsoe if they don't match and keep him.

I went into tonight expecting a trade. Try to turn our 4 picks into a higher impact player.

Nope.

I even like the last pick at #50. 7-footer who can shoot well from 20 feet out? Yes, please.

The draft is about collecting assets, and I think we did that well with each pick.

I really like the Warren pick. I'll wait and see on Ennis, and a lot will depend on what happens this summer. Also like Bodganovic.

If it would have come down to it, maybe I would have gambled taking Nurkic at #14 and hoping that Warren was still there at #18, but I wanted TJ Warren on the Suns period. Nurkic was so close anyway. Damn Bulls-Nuggets.

USA Today graded the suns' picks a-, b+ and b+
Fairly solid mark for what it's worth.

Matt Moore from CBS was less flattering giving us a b- c+ and b+

Overall the top13 went basically as expected. Only Harris and maybe Payne, plus whatever you wanted to make out of Nurkic, were considered later lotto talent and I'd take TJ Warren over those two without hesitation.

Lol. Draft grades. Like it or don't but grades are ridiculous until years down the line.
Go Suns!

I like the Warren pick a lot. He was someone I was rooting for us to get for awhile. At first I thought 14 was a little too high but after thinking about it for awhile, I don't think he would have made it to 18. I was surprised by the Ennis pick; I thought for sure they were going to pick Gray Harris. After reading so many articles and tweets about how much the suns liked him and were hoping that he fall to them and then to see him be there to get pick up not once but twice was a little perplexing. For now I don't really have an opinion of Ennis mainly because I don't really know much about him but obviously I am hoping for the best. I think Bogdan Bogdanovic is going to be really solid, so I am happy with the pick. Overall, I am just happy we kept all 3 first round picks, after so many years of selling and trading them off, it is really refreshing to see us actually use all of our picks.
I give this draft a solid B maybe B+.

I still really wanted Kyle Anderson at 27.
I hope Borat turns out to be worth it.

there's nothing special about his outside shooting.

rookie 51.9% on threes (on 0.4/0.8 shooting) and 54.2% FT (1.1/2.1 per game)
sopho 26.7% on threes (on 0.9/3.3 shooting) and 69.0% FT (4.5/6.5 per game)

here's my first impression based on stats alone.

- he's not as good an outside shooter as he thinks he is. that 51% 3pt shooting on his rookie year is meaningless since he took only a few attempts. good news is that in his soph year, he improved not only the number of trips he took to the foul line, but also his FT% to a mediocre-average 70%.

and the great news about him is his efficiency.

rookie 12 pts/game on 62.2% shooting
sopho 25 pts/game on 52.5% shooting

the more responsibility he took on carrying the scoring burden for his team, the less efficient he became, but 25ppg on 52.5% FG is still IMPRESSIVE. he's a #naturalscorer, but not necessarily an above average shooter.

warren's not athletic, but doesnt need it so score buckets. #oldmangame. dragic wasnt that great of a shooter either, and he is athletic and has great finishing ability.
