I hope the Lakers beat us by 50. Maybe that will force Sarver's hand. That quite possibly is the best thing that could happen to this franchise.
Disgusting.
Disgusting.
What was the reason to get rid of Monty again? Oh yeah, that guy we drafted rather than Doncic.

Terry Porter, Lindsay Hunter, and Earl Watson. Great list of coaches under your ownership Sarver. Quit being cheap and invest in a proven head coach who knows X's and O's. We have three good pieces to our team, let's not ruin them with these run of the mill coaches.

If by "the best thing" you mean force him to sell the franchise, then I agree.JustWinBaby wrote:I hope the Lakers beat us by 50. Maybe that will force Sarver's hand. That quite possibly is the best thing that could happen to this franchise.
Firing Watson would still be good with me.

i agree. that's a stat the coach must bare. they've had the preseason and plenty of practice for opening day, at home, on our 50th, and they come out playing like me and my friends in my backyard? that would put "the timeline" at 1972Flagrant Fowl wrote:10 assists. 10.

48-point loss. Tied for worst in franchise history?
The rot starts at the top, with the owner. It extends to our noticeably bad head coach, who has no apparent strategy of any kind for this team's offense or defense. Next in line is our starting point guard, who doesn't know how to run an offense or get others involved or make others better. I'm not mad at most of the young guys like Bender and Chriss for not being good; they should be college sophomores or juniors or something, not playing major minutes for an NBA team. The system is broken, and it hurts young guys like these to not be able to grow and learn at the proper level.
The squad that played tonight sure looks like a team that will end up last in the West. Just imagine what this game would have been like if we had played the Warriors. They might have tripled our score.

I do? Just because I don't slam him continuously like you and most others doesn't mean I'm happy with the results. It's becoming pretty apparent that he doesn't have X and O chops. Sorry Marty but Chriss is not good at basketball. McD whiffed on that pick, someone fell in love with his athleticism. From what i saw tonight he throws little temper tantrums when things don't go his way and he gets overly frustrated too easy. I would have yanked him from the game after he lowered his shoulder on that pick he tried fighting through. He's not good enough to act the way that he does, he's easily my most disliked player on the team right now and it's not even close.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:I'm not mad at most of the young guys like Bender and Chriss for not being good; they should be college sophomores or juniors or something, not playing major minutes for an NBA team.

I don't think he has assistant coaching experience in his resume. His resume was that he played for some pretty good coaches and they thought he would potentially be a good head coach in the future. I would not hire him as an assistant at this point.Superbone wrote:I do? Just because I don't slam him continuously like you and most others doesn't mean I'm happy with the results. My real pet problem is not the youth but he has worked with some of these guys for quite a while and I see no improvement. Arguably our two best player, Booker and Bledsoe seem to be going backers and he has turned them into nothing more than chuckers.
I think every Suns fan is disappointed and a vast majority do not believe that Watson is the answer.

Game one of the season. They got their ass kicked. So what? It happens. Lots of teaching moments in the replay session tomorrow. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Lots of work to be done. I'm not gonna freak out over it. I'm half torn between tanking and not tanking anyway.
Aside from the ass kickage, it was nice to finally see the new guys in action. It's a bummer that Len was out. Been hearing how great he is playing and he misses the start. I hadn't been keeping up over the summer and didn't know that Williams was also out for surgery.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
