haha not a clone, but so far a (pretty) poor man's. If we acquired him, would people be patient to develop him? I doubt it. Personally, I am not interested anyway. I want the best pick possible, period. This applies to Elfrid Payton btw (only saying this because the Magic seem to be doing better than expected and could feel tempted to make a win now move).Danimal wrote:Ring_Wanted wrote:Terrible shooting, mediocre passing, lots of TOs. Re: Bledsoe wants out!
Agreed. Despite what he says I think his play to start the year has everything to do with him wanting out. He was good last year for us.Marty [Mori Chu] wrote:I don't think that description is very fair to Bledsoe. He had 3 bad games to start this year, yes. But last year he was close to 20/5/5. We too quickly forget that he has been pretty steady and productive for us for years. Aside from the very short start to this current season, he's been dependable for way better numbers than Mudiaye has ever come close to delivering.Danimal wrote:Somewhat of a Bledsoe clone?Ring_Wanted wrote:Terrible shooting, mediocre passing, lots of TOs. Re: Bledsoe wants out!
Probably not going to happen, but maybe NOP wants Bledsoe.
NOP: They are starting E'twan Moore and running Jameer Nelson off the bench for almost 30 minutes. Bledsoe would immediately be their best SG, and would eventually give them a 3-guard rotation of Holiday, Bledsoe, Rondo (when Rajan gets healthy).
They don't have any players we want, so we would have to take back a long bad contract. But they have picks and I'd be happy to take back picks and dead salary for Bled.

I don't know what to tell you guys but I've never enjoyed Bledsoe's play for the Suns. He's a ball stopper (even if the stats say otherwise, INDY). I guess I'm spoiled by all the great PGs in Suns history. Nothing personal against the guy.

+1 Seems like a solid guy, played hard, just didn't enjoy how he played.Superbone wrote:I don't know what to tell you guys but I've never enjoyed Bledsoe's play for the Suns. Re: Bledsoe wants out!
From what I'm hearing, Bled likely won't be traded until at least December 15th, and then up to the deadline. We're in no hurry to move him.
AT this point, expiring contracts and draft picks is where I'd like this to go. Or, a salary cap dump of Bled + Knight. Neither will ever play here again.

Honestly, with the coaching change and the fact that Knight's value couldn't be lower, I could see Knight rehabilitating his career in Phoenix next year. I have a funny feeling that he will do much better with the change.

Honestly, his contract would have more value if he keeled over and died at mid-court right now, because at least then the insurance company would cover the remainder of his salary.

JFC we still have Knight to deal with. And people here still think McD doesn't deserve criticism?

Let's see how Knight plays when he's healthy and playing under a new coach. They can buy him out just as easily then as they can now.

I am with you for the most part but I have been very critical of his coaches. I really wish he would not have made that tweet and we could have seen him play for Triano. It appears that the new coach will not put up with the ball stopping play we have seen from Bledsoe. He would have either played the way Triano wants to play or he would have sat. I would rather have had our new coach make the decision rather than a dumb ass tweet.
I actually have given him the benefit of the doubt to some extent due to the lack of talent we have had on our roster. At times he looks and feels like a really talented player. With us having so many holes to fill on this roster, we really cannot continue to lose talent with nothing in return.
This all started when Amare was not resigned and the talent was not replaced. This has been the continuing saga of this organization.
What was the reason to get rid of Monty again? Oh yeah, that guy we drafted rather than Doncic.

Dragic.
Bledsoe.
Thomas.
Knight.
What an absolute butchery, the way we have handled all of these supposedly talented NBA guards.

When Knight is back to his basically-all-star play, you'll see how good a GM Mcdonough is.ShelC wrote:JFC we still have Knight to deal with. And people here still think McD doesn't deserve criticism?
